Direct TV acted precipitously and with complete disregard for their customers when they failed to resolve the good faith negations by Hearst Argyle and they simply stopped carrying both Channel 8 and 9 in my area. The egotistical manner they did this and the statement on their site that most people don't watch network TV anyway makes me livid. My call to complain elicited the response that if they paid what the provider wanted it wound have cost customers more. SO WHAT? First of all, Direct never asked customers if they were willing to pay more. Secondly, their competitors seem to be able to contract and provide these networks readily enough. I hope many of you join with me in jumping off of the Direct TV ship ASAP and going elsewhere.
