I am not happy that it was much easier it seems to sign on to ANC than to sign out (in order not to be billed). And had I not been looking for something else today, 6 months after signing up in August, I would not have known that I've been getting billed $9.99 since August. How unfair is this? I am imagining that ANC can see that there has been no action on my account since a few hours after I signed on and then signed out, believing I was cancelling my account in order to avoid being billed.

Please help correct this--and advise me that it is being taken care of.

I am having great difficulty cancelling my account with Ancestry. I started out thinking I was getting 1 month free and then 19.00 per month for as long as I chose to keep it. Instead Ancestry charged 169.00 to my card and it has been impossible to contact anyone to stop my service. Just this month they renewed the 169.00 again and I am now trying to reach someone - customer service - anybody to cancel. I have put a block on my card and filed a dispute with my card company about the recent 2nd 169.00 charge. This is tantamount to stealing. It is a rip off. I would not advise anyone to deal with this company

1/7/2016 Ancestry.com - Can I transfer Family Tree Maker Data from PC to Mac?
I have been a member of Ancestry for a number of years. I have continued my membership and the yearly fee has been charged to my credit card account without my permission. Again, this past December my membership dues have been charged to my credit card which has been paid.

I have contributed my family tree to be free to the public. I have changed my computer from a PC to a Mac. I cannot access my records that have been changed since my username and password is no longer recognized by Ancestry.

The original software I used was Family Tree Maker. I want to access all the information I contributed using my Mac Book Air.

Please advise as I don't want to purchase the software again.
