9/27/2016 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of California - I'm moving out of the country for 1 year and I
I'm moving out of the country for 1 year and I needed a vacation override to take as much prescription as they'd allow me to ahead of time. I was told I could do a vacation override for 3 months but I'd have to pay out-of-pocket for the generic brand I needed. Totally fine with that. Just needed the permission to give to my pharmacy so they'd refill for that amount.
Then after back and forth calling, I was then told I need to pay my premium of $215 for those 3 months up front and they wouldn't cover the prescription either. Was NEVER told I needed to do that. What's the point of an OVERRIDE then?? I was told this because they saw I was going out of the country and might be canceling my plan.
I'm a customer RIGHT NOW. Why should it matter if you think I'm going to cancel my plan with you in the future? I deserve to get what I pay for RIGHT NOW! You do understand that I'm eventually coming back to the US, right? That I could pick back up with my plan, right? That I'm now NOT wanting to be covered by your company because of this, right?
You can take my money easily and on time, but when your customer needs something it's "you're on your own!"??.

I hardly know where to begin. joined plan 03/2015 myself and my spouse for about $750.00 a month each. We missed a payment. We paid the balance and I was reinstated but not my husband...he was terminated and never re-instated however they continued to deduct over $5000.every month, $750.00 each. have been working on this since the begining of the year, Blue Shield sent me IRS form 1095-B that proofs my point but still no help. We discovered this when our Dr.s said inactive at all Dr.s refused ins for not being eligible. I can't possibly explain the process and still no results. I cancelled in Jan 2016...THEY ARE STILL CHARGING ME $1500.00 a MONTH

This is the worst insurance company. I have been waiting for over nine months for two claims to be processed. The customer service on the phone is non existent, I have been on hold for more than an hour only to get disconnected or have someone who cannot answer my questions. I have a premium plan that costs me $3,600 a month and I cannot get reimbursed for money I already paid out of pocket to the tune of over $3,000. I need this money as my insurance bill has reduced me to having to have the fear of not making my mortgage payment. I am reporting Blue Shield to the insurance commission and seeking a lawyers advise as to what my rights are as this company has caused me undo stress to the point of high anxiety and illness.

The person Eileen wanting to talk to me says I have tried to reach you it is important that you get back to me.
