I changed my filter and it advised to soak the new filter before using. I checked the wrapping and also the box and there was no mention on how long it should be soaked? Help please. Thank you

4/4/2016 I had to get some more filters for my Brita
I had to get some more filters for my Brita dispenser. I noticed that there is a "NEW DESIGN" for the filters. Brought 2 4 packs home. Got one out, flushed it with water for 15 seconds, just like the instructions said to do. Put the "NEW" filter in the dispenser, worked just fine, no problem, UNTIL, I noticed that the water seemed to go through the filter rather quickly. Lifted up the cover and saw that the filter had popped out of the reservoir, so I pushed it back down, firmly. Filled up the dispenser again, came back to check on the water and the filter had popped out AGAIN !. I went through 3 filters trying to get them to say down in the reservoir. Finally I gave up, went to the store and bought a ZERO WATER filtration dispenser. I LOVE IT !!! Just wish I had not thrown away the receipt for those Brita filters. I still have 5 UNUSED Brita filters that are going in the garbage !!! Along with the water dispenser. Bottom line, your so called new design on these filters SUCK !!!

5/15/2013 Brita - I just purchased a Faucet Filtration System and
I just purchased a Faucet Filtration System and for some reason I can't get the indicator light working, even after following the troubleshooting guide. When I tried to send an email to the company under the "contact us" site, It won't let me send the email until I indicated the product in the drop down menu. Odd, the drop down menu won't let me choose a product nor will it allow me to manually type it in. Great way to avoid the consumers questions and concerns!!

I recently purchased a Brita water filter to replace the one I used for years. The new filter will not allow the filters to remain seated in the fixture. Mine is the dispenser. Every time I need to add water the filter has popped up out of its housing and will not remain seated thus allowing the water to run directly into the bottom of the dispenser without being filtered. I purchased the unit at a local Sam's club along with an 8 pack of filters. I have been thru 4 filters so far and none of them will remain seated. I used my previous dispenser for years with no problem, what gives?

Have been unable to find faucet filters at Bed Bath and Beyond. And I understand Costco and Target do not have any in stock either. I've been told there is a vendor problem. This has been going on for many months. Purchasing at other sources, if they are even available there, cost significantly more. When will this BRITA problem be resolved?

PLEASE READ ITS IMPORTANT I bought a pitcher like this one and used it for a bit over a year and I didnt noticed but its got a crack in the very bottom all of them should have it its all around? it..look for it ..so anyways I never noticed but the crack holds MOLD inside so it was green INSIDE THE CRACK so I was drinking it all along,and wasnt feeling good so people please check your pitchers because you could be drinking it too if you have it for over a year

5/7/2012 Brita - This is the second time this has occured. I turn
This is the second time this has occured. I turn the switch to access filtered water, and the water comes spraying out of the bottom portion of the cartridge. Just happened again last night and completely soaked my shirt and kitchen. 17 to 18 dollars a piece for the replacement is not chump change. Decided to go with the SUR model. Easier to mount and I like the quick disconnect feature.

I agree with these comments. The knob that turns it from unfiltered to filtered is impossible to turn. What can i do? It is so frustrating. It was fine at first but is horrible now. It is under 1 year old.
