7/19/2011 Cablevision - I have been getting billed for Pay Pre view movies
I have been getting billed for Pay Pre view movies for months now (Since April 2011) that I didn't order. Everytime I call while I am at work I hear "You need to be home so they can do a test". So, I let them know when I will be home and they say "we'll have someone get back to you in 48hrs". I never receive a call. When I do call from home and explain I need the check done they never know what I am talking about and give me the same "we'll have someone get back to you in 48hrs. Every week I keep calling and my bill is getting higher and higher. I have asked several times about putting a lock on my system so pay per view movies can't be ordered and have been told that can not be done. Now this past month I have been charged for 14 movies! The more I complain, the more charges I get! I've had it, I calling the Dept of Public Utilities and my lawyer.

7/10/2011 Cablevision - Since the beginning of the year I have had
Since the beginning of the year I have had Cablevision to my home for this on going issue. Mean while 4 or 5 boxex later nothing has changed. Promise's from there tech supervisor to contact me never happens and service is still being interrupted. I pay for premium stations which I am not receiving. No body seems to care....if they did my service would be improved.
Now all of a sudden as I am watching TV my cable box just shuts off and reprograms itself.
I have dated images of the stations in which I have complaints about that I have also included to the tech supervisor. Although I don’t feel that this was necessary because the tech who has come to my home has seen it for himself!
I am writing this complaint because I am so disgusted.....I pay top dollar for inferior service be it to my TV or customer service.

My goal is to have my service be what I pay for. I pay for the "Gold Package" and I am not getting this service on a consistent basis.

I have been trying all day to cancel my phone service. The minimum hold time to speak with a representative was 27 minutes. I don't have that kind of time to spend. This should be illegal. Are there any class action suits against Cablevision?

Cablevision has successfully isolated itself from pestering email inquires from its customers. There are no email addresses for use by customer to contact Cablevision. So I am relegated to this impersonal and ineffective means of communication.

I contracted with Cablevision, not Newscorp, for a specific list of channels. Maybe Cablevision should refund customers for the channels paid for but not available. Also, the Cablevision defense would be much more convincing if Newscorp were given air time to present their position immediately following Cablevisions explanation.

This latest blackout of Fox is the most unprofessional and inconsiderate move by Cablevision to date. I am so sick of the increasing cost of watching TV. I only watch a few channels, food, sports, etc. I am forced to purchase all of the additional nonsense anyway. Why is it that the general public has to be manipulated by these greed driven companies. I constantly see comercials about how great it is to have cablevision and all the wonferful benefits that come along with the service. It's all BS.
I fully expect Cablevision to reimburse me for the lack of services that I pay for. I also believe that this type of blackmail should be illegal.
This is just one more stab in the back to the hard working people of our area. When will it end. Maybe Cablevision should pay for us to go to the stadium and sit it one of the thousands of empty $750 per game seats.

Cablevision's service is already problematic for me in all three areas - TV, Internet and Phone. It's hard to believe that aside from overall unsatisfactory reception, you would put any more of a burden on your customers by deleting Channels 5 and 9. Because of the economy, I can only afford the least of your "packages" (which certainly does not offer much)and means that I already don't get a choice and many of the channels I'm privy to are in a language I do not speak on top of a bunch of paid programming. My question is: how will we be compensated - do you plan to substitute these missing channels with others that are of some substance; will we get "free" movies in lieu of, or are you going to adjust our bill for the inconvenience? In my opinion, I'm already paying too much for little of nothing, so please do not tell me that you expect us to pay for service we are not getting! If that is the case -or- if you have the audacity to charge more for the reinstatement of these channels, I (as well as many others I'm sure) will be switching you off for good.
