2/14/2010 Cost Plus World Market Credit Card - I would not recommend purchasing anything online
I would not recommend purchasing anything online from World Market. On January 9, 2010, I made an online purchase of (2) two Chocolate colored Ravenna chairs. Fed-Ex being the less than stellar delivery selection, delivered one of the two chairs to my home and with no one home, simply left the chair in the yard. I think a blind man could forsee what would happen to my chair? You've got it, it was stolen. Upon arriving home and learning my chair was delivered to my yard for public consumption, I contacted both World Market as well as Fed-Ex and to date, I have neither received my chair or re-imbursement. I have been a loyal and devoted customer to World Market for some years now and my home has many unique knick knacks, artwork and dinnerware purchased from World Market's stores, but the shabby treatment I've received thus far as a result of this on-line experience has soured me to World Market. To add insult to injury, when I called on Saturday, February 13, 2010, well beyond a month from my original purchase date and with no resolution I wanted to follow-up on the time it has taken thus far to resolve this matter, the customer service agent, "Fatima" hung up on me before I could even ask a question. I phoned customer service back, only to get the same customer service agent, whom I advised "hung up", before I could ask a question, which by then I had forgotten, to which I was told, "you should not be calling here with that attitude." So, with that, once this matter of the non-delivered chair is resolved rest assured I shall not be shopping at World Market and nor shall I recommend World Market to anyone. Interesting, when I am in the store making purchases in excess of several thousand, not an exaggeration as I purchased many furnishings, but again, interesting that then, I was not deemed a nuances but while I attempt to resolve the matter of non-receipt of an online purchased item, I am treated as a nuance. World Market can rest assure that I will take my disposable income to Pottery Barn from now on.
