The last two times I have used Expedia (last fall and just now), I worked on-line choosing my flights and then filling out the necessary information ON LINE. When all was finished, it disappeared. I made TWO phone calls, the second one in the Philippines, because I was on hold for so long the first time, without any prompts or music that I was convinced my call had been dropped. I fortunately had made notes of my flights and price but it still took forever but I was ready to commit and I did. (When I checked the British Airways website, it was not good and I could not see venturing further booking directly since I had reached my frustration limit.
Also, although we had been members for years, I was asked each of the last two times to become a member and I still could not use any points, they did not exist, towards this flight. What a bear!!!!

Expedia Canada has the worst of worst customer service. I called to cancel a flight since sept 2016. Still haven't recieve a refund for a refundable tkts. When u call the agents at Expedia Canada, they kept running you around and will not help you. Everyone says, the airline is responsible but never does anything. Calling the Headoffice is like a chicken without a head. This entity needs to go. Can't stand the service. Beyond poor.

We were notified by Expedia in September that a December flight for Key West that we had booked several weeks prior had been changed, for the third or fourth time, to include a flight from Newark to Indianapolis which allowed a 31 minute connection time, which although legal, is physically impossible, given one flight landed in Terminal A and our connecting flight took off in Terminal C, a 45 minute shuttle ride. An hour on the phone with the Expedia customer service rep could not resolve this problem, nor could he explain why our flight had been changed so many times, and told me I needed to call the airline directly. We have since determined that we will in the future only deal directly with airlines, and not through Expedia, since if and when there is a problem, Expedia has no power to help anyway. The few dollars saved by booking through Expedia was not worth the ensuing gargantuan hassle.

If I could give Expedia negative 5 stars, I would do so immediately. They are playing games saying that airlines have a penalty to change reservations. When i was ready to pay the penalty because the flight cost had gone down double of what the penalty was, they told me that the airline is refusing to accept the penalty and the airline wants me to forfeit the total reduction in ticket pricing. A total scam. I spoke to the airline and they told me that Expedia is wrong. The airline has no control over the ticket until the day of travel and that it is up to Expedia to process the penalty and corresponding refund. Expedia's excuse that they wanted a waiver code from the airline to process the change is completely bogus.
Never book anything through expedia. Always book directly through the airline and hotel provider. You are better off.

I am one of a customers for using Expedia. Recently, I made a reservation for my niece. For some strange reason Expedia was unable to send confirmation via e-mail. It looks like Expedia has some technical issue. I called and was on phone (BELIEVE ME OR NOT) for 3 HOURS without any solution. No one I talk to understands what I was trying explain and they kept me on hold for hours and just keep transferring me to different people. DONT BOOK WITH THEM. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Same itinerary I saw on Expedia for $100 less, Expedia did not even offer to match that!

For resetting password, they are NOT ABLE TO SEND E-MAIL EITHER,

I can go on and on..............

I had made a reservation at Four Queens Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for one night this coming April. Excellent rate, but I was to pay when I checked in, (this was on the Expedia site as book now pay later). I came very close to going ahead and cancel this, but did not. I did call the hotel and they said they always charge the first night. Expedia should not advertise this type of booking if it is not honored. Note: I was offered two options, pay now or later. I chose pay later).
