5/25/2017 FAFSA - One might call a Community College and ask
One might call a Community College and ask Financial Aid if they can help. Some Colleges might help for free. It is just an idea. They may have other ideas about free resources...like the Libraries, Universities. I found information on Youtube : Creating a FSA-ID may be the first step to help make the process go through easier. I went to: Create an FSA-ID NOW on Youtube. There are other sites...but remember... to go to the Free Government sites only. Others may want to trick you to steal ID or they may want you to pay. Do not trust these sites that want you to pay. Government FAFSA sites are free. :Like; FAFSA.GOV or to get started with FSA ID go to: Student Aid.gov/fsaid...Then Click on rectangle box that says: Create a FSA ID NOW. Look at other Government sites on Youtube, that help with the FAFSA Process.

9/2/2015 You have to answer questions to login to FAFSA
What bothers with FAFSA is that; every time you log in to check status they want you to answer same questions over again which make you confused.

7/24/2015 FAFSA - Can you still receive pell grants even if your parents declared you dependent, and you are 24 yrs old?
Hi, when I did the fafsa application it said I no longer was considered dependent or needed parents information since I turned 24. I declared my self independent, but my parents declared me depedent. However, it got rejected and as far as I know it still needs to be approved. My question is can you still receive pell grants even if your parents declared you dependent, and you are 24 yrs old?
I would appreciated if I could get an answer or a number to contact to.
thank you .

Why don't you have enough people to answer the phones. I know the government has plenty of money to pay people, except for us pee-ons!

6/29/2015 I have been trying to make Fafsa corrections for
I have been trying to make Fafsa corrections for the past week. I'm having a problem with entering my password and username into the system, I have already created a FSA ID, now the system is not recognizing it. The same email address that FAFSA has been contacting me with, is now unrecognizable in their system, but then I would get an email from them on the same address.(Go figure). Now it's Monday morning 6/29/2015, still having trouble. I've tried the customer service toll free #, it keeps going back to the main menu, it asks you multiple times what you need, then it disconnects. Whose brilliant idea was it to change the system. Change it back to email and pin. The people who don't use it, are always the ones to submit the changes. We just want a chance to learn, when we don't go to school and ask for assistance, you then say we should of gotten higher education, now we are trying make it doable, lots of people has to go to the Library where there's a time limit to use the computers. "If education is the key, why are they making it so expensive for we". a blessed day to all.
