I made a couple of Groupon purchases a few years ago with no problem. After a hiatus I resubscribed last week. Now I receive "discount codes" which the website will not accept. i actually spoke to real person by using
888-664-8882 and she offered to give me today's discount of 10.00 by placing this amount in my "Groupon box".
She told me that I cannot get this amount deducted from my credit card, so I must pay the full price of the deal. So I suppose that I must wait to see if another deal ever tempts me and then hope that I am able to use this credit note, which really fraudulent as I was supposed to receive $$$ off the original purchase. No wonder this
company has grown so large - they are taking interest free loans from their customers and using the cash towards their own ends. I shall cancel this purchase again and block Groupon from my email list. What a ripoff organization they are/ BUYER BEWARE!

12/19/2016 Groupon - Probably the worst customer service I have come
Probably the worst customer service I have come accross. There was some issue with their service accepting my card and when I inquired through email to resolve the issue ( which is not with my card) I received the following threatening email:
For the safety and security of Groupon, we often review accounts for potential risks. Upon reviewing your account, we encountered a violation of our Terms of Service and closed the account. This decision cannot be appealed.

Please discontinue use of our website and our services immediately and note that we are preserving all rights to pursue further action -- should it be necessary -- to preserve the integrity of our program and the best interests of our company.

Ordered a ring on Dec 3, 2016 it came in the mail on December 13, 2016, guess what? they sent the wrong size and now the only thing they can do is send me a return label and refund my money! As if an apology will replace an item I purchased for Christmas, now I have to replace the item from somewhere else. And I won't even get a refund for at least 2 weeks or more! Way to go Groupon, while your CEO is comfy in Chicago, I made 3 phone calls to customer service and wound up in the Philippines each time and they say they can't transfer me to speak with someone in the USA! Any American customer should have the choice to speak with an agent in the USA! I will never order from Groupon again! I work in Customer Service, and their condescending apology is worthless! Lousy way to take care of customers. And I will tell all my friends to not buy from Groupon!

It sucks!! I was billed 4 times for something I never received. They only want to give me back a trade-in for 2 of the amounts and it has to be used within 24 hours.

I NEVER RECEIVED MERCHANDISE -- WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT GET AND THEN TO CHARGE ME 4 TIMES.

I would have cancelled sooner but I did not think the order was processed and only found out when I received my credit card invoice.

Customer Service does NOT exist - HORRIBLE. I moved from the original location of purchase and have not been able to figure out how to credit my account for the original amount for 2 purchases that I was unable to use. Any directions, or lack of directions provided on your account page are totally worthless and to actually locate a Customer Service POC without googling GROUPON was fruitless. It blows my mind how a company representing other companies can take your monies and then disappear. Now finding this sight, I am not surprised it is not readily associated to the sales page, but would HIGHLY recommend that all customer comments, good and HORRIBLE be accessible on 1 page / linked. Maybe these comments wont sway some, but at least buyers will be informed.

I purchased 6 tickets , which in reality I only needed 1. id like to be reimbursed for my 140.00 since I will not be using the rest of the vouchers, I emailed yesterday, and I stillhaven't heard back, I called this am, stayed on the phone for 32 mins to be told my Jen/Kim , that my purchase, had to be cancelled within 3 days. how is that when on Friday is when I used one voucher, which I only needed for 6 teens. this is very bad service. I wasn't given and reassurance by either person Jen/kim on the phone, now I need to wait 24-72 hrs to hear from the corporate office, I tried calling this 312-676-5773, it seems to be off the hook, because it states that its busy. im very upset at this whole situation. how do you expect to have returning customers if you don't speak to them personally, very bad customer service. ill be waiting for my phone call. I guess people only write a comment when they are upset but I am going to change that.
I was having trouble printing a voucher so I called the customer service number. My call was answered in less than 30 seconds. I talked with a most helpful and positive representative named Fred. He solved my problem immediately (assured me he would send me what I needed via e-mail) and my transaction with Groupon was very successful.
I will say that it took me a good while to get the phone # (1-888-664-4482) but once I called my problem was handled in a very timely fashion. However, I did need to talk to a real person. Nothing worked when I tried to use the FAQs etc. on their website.
Hopefully the e-mail will come and I will continue to be a Groupon fan.
