Talked to Bracken earlier in the day. Just send pictures of the wrong parts that were sent and I will get back with you today to see what the problem was. Well I sent the pictures of the wrong parts that were sent and tried to call after I got no response. Needless to say, they never picked up and the message was they were already closed-10 minutes early. I have been down for almost 6 months and they still have not got my machine up and running. Great service plan.

I am writing this in an attempt to help any ICON customers out there. If a customer calls ICON for help on a machine they are helped as quickly as possible however if the customer does not have the model number and serial number of the machine then the call will go very slowly and the customers waiting in line will wait even longer. There is an automated recording during the wait period that will repeat "Please have your model number and serial number available" which should give you plenty of time to get the information. Without the model number the call cannot be completed and you will end up having to call back in again. The model number is the number on the front cover of your Users Manual on the LEFT HAND SIDE. Under the model number is a blank line where you need to write your serial number in. Under the blank line there is a picture of your machine with an arrow pointed to where the serial number can be found. For quicker assistnance I would suggest registering your machine on the web site www.iconservice.com at least 24 hours prior to calling. That way your telephone number will pull up your machine information.

Sports Authority just gave me a couple numbers since the 1-800 had me on hold for 1 hour and 36 minutes and counting.

435-750-5000 (used 0 for operator and got a message that no operator is available and then voicemail)

435-786-5000 (used 0 for operator and actually got one who put me into the management line for customer service which went unanswered and then started the same representative queue and music which was still on hold on my other phone).

Fortunately Sports authority had kindly agreed to accept return in assembled condition for full refund within 30 days. Too bad as the machine appears to be a nice design with some kind of defect in incline control.

There is NO customer service support with this company!!!! The phone number listed on the manual for customer does NOT have any human beings available to answer phone, I was on hold for an hour and a half. This is crazy...!!!

1/30/2012 Icon Health & Fitness Inc. - ProForm Elliptical (Icon Service) purchased April
ProForm Elliptical (Icon Service) purchased April 13, 2011. The arms are coming off when you use the elliptical. I have tried contacting them by phone, two hours on hold and still no answer. I have tried contacting them by email only to get a "try Loctite" answer. I sent them a response email with video of the elliptical arms coming off which clearly shows Loctite would not fix the problem. I have waited ten days for a response and have not received one. I have decided to post on every imaginable social media site the problems I have endured with this horrible equipment and customer service. Icon Service is very unprofessional and horrible at customer service.

Agreed. This is bad customer service. All my NordicTrack needs is a belt and adjustment. I'm told I can be out of service and my excercise routine put on hold for up to three weeks. What a joke! They ship parts in a manner that doesn't allow for tracking of the order. They can't give you or transfer you to a Manager and don't know his phone number but will pass along the request for a call by placing a note on his desk....but dont know his phone number????doesn't sound like reality. I will think hard before getting another NordicTrack. Buyer beware.....Also, I might add that in about a year since I've had this treadmill this is the third service needed.

Instead of blaming the suppliers, people need to ask these questions to the sales staff serving them. You will find that there are conditions to warranties all over and its not ICON's fault if they dont honour something that you didnt ask about. Instead of blaming them, have a good look at yourself. From a retailing point of view, Icon is probably the most trusted supplier we have. They have their guidelines for their business just like you all would in your lives. Yes its a pest when you recieve faulty items but thats life, nothings perfect. If anything continues to be broken or faulty, then the guys at ICON will arrange for a repair. Patience is the key.

I enjoy my Nordictrack, I have never had a problem and have had it for almost a year. I found out from the corporate office that they only hear back (i.e. non working machine, buying extended warranty, buying parts, buying service, returns and other) from about 2% of all the fitness equipment they make every day. I got to see their production plant and they put out around 2,000 treadmills a day and that is only their treadmill plant, they have several other plants. I love my Nordictrack treadmill.

I attempted to order a part that I previously ordered and could not get past the "chat" girls who were not very fitness equipment oriented. I had the invoice from 9/10 and was told it was to old to look up. Tried to tell me my cable was for a treadmill. I finally gave up and will use another company after reading these comments.

6/9/2011 Icon Health & Fitness Inc. - I purchased an elliptical machine in December. It
I purchased an elliptical machine in December. It stopped working after the second time I used it. It took me TWO MONTHS to get a service technician out. He was only able to do a temporary fix, and the same problem happened again after about 40 minutes of use. I called ICON. They had the service guy call me. He said that he could not come out again to fix the same problem, he would need a new "service number" indicating a new problem. I called ICON, they refused to give me a new number. It is now June. I have had this machine for 6 months and not been able to use it. ICON says the service company they contract with should come out again to fix the problem without a new number. The service company has said they will not return my calls without a new number. They are at a standoff, and I am left with a broken machine. Please do not buy any product from this company. You will be sorry.
