9/2/2016 Ikea - Unbelievably unsupportive customer support service
Unbelievably unsupportive customer support service ...my delivery was incorrect order and I has been four days of phone calls t try to have it rede liveried ... Being put on hold for 40 min at a time then disconnected and have to start all over again with a new agent ..still no re delver date and feels like being ignored...will never shop Ikea again ??

The absolute worst customer service assistance EVER!!!! NO ONE ever answers the phone! it's impossible to send them an email! You have to go to the store and ask for help and then, there are NO managers who will come out and assist you. It's the IKEA culture, to avoid responsibility and accountability unless the government forces a recall. IKEA is NOT connected to the community. The West Chester Ohio store customer service absolutely is the worst!

IKEA USA is the worse customer service company worldwide. I have experience with IKEA in Europe and Asia and the difference is indescribably huge! The Americans are just not customer oriented, which is fine as long as they are trained and supervised how to do better jib. And IKEA should be very careful specially in their Brooklyn store, as they are loosing plenty of clients already. They lost me here - that's for sure. I feel bad for the store - it's my favorite brand and I really want to see them the way they are present in other parts of the world. Wish them all the best.

This is the for sure in the top 2 of worse customer service companies I have ever experienced. If you call into sales you will get answered, (I tested it 3 times due to frustration) if you call customer service, plan on waiting for 45 - 110 mins like I did 3 times for final resolution. I ordered a table and was delivered damaged and the plastic hardware. It happens, I get it. I am very dissatisfied on how the customer service was responsive (waiting on phone) for 45 mins plus, and the returned merchandise delivered was not complete hence having to call in again to wait over an hour this time for IKEA to re-issue the order to send out the hardware that was supposed to be originally sent.

Unless I can take it with me I will never order from IKEA again. Customer service is so lacking. The store phone number is wrong that is listed on the website. When I finally got through to customer service on the phone after waiting 20 minutes (timed it!) they informed me that I had to go back to the store to have the sofa I purchased (which didn't fit in our car and was sitting right at furniture pick up with our name on it as we tried to rent a truck somewhere) home delivered that I couldn't do it over the phone. Even then the customer service rep was unsure.
So frustrating.

IKEA customer service is horrible! I had 1 missing piece from the hardware package that comes with a MALM series dresser. There are no phone numbers in the assembly manual! Ask Anna is useless for this type of issue!
I finally found an 800 number via Google! Spent a long time waiting on the phone (22 minutes), just to get a missing 25 cent item! Unless I am forced to, by some higher authority, I will not purchase another IKEA item.

I bought a Malm bed frame at the Carson store, the manual to put it together shows if you have a question call. At almost the end of putting it together the screws to put in a diagonal metal piece are too big and can not be screwed in. Tried Anna on line, which is a robotic answer that comes out to nothing and jeeps asking you, Was this helpfull?

Tried calling so far half an hour on hold....

Terrible service, dont know what to do, the bed frame is almost finished but cant be used without the diagonal bars. Still on hold

I have to give Ikea 5 stars. I called because we damaged a part in our sink trap, and it is basically a custom part for Ikea. Using the information above (press 3, etc.), I got to speak with a representative within 2 minutes. They offered to ship me a new part for free! It will take up to 7 days to get the part, but it's much better than what I was expecting, as the part is no longer in warranty.
