I stopped in the J Crew store in Greensboro, NC, Shoppes at Friendly Center and was very disappointed with the lack of customer service from the sales staff. There were 3 sales associates working and neither one greeted me nor asked if I needed assistance. The associates seemed more interested in conversing with each other and tasking than helping customers. I had gone to the store to make a purchase after receiving J Crew's catalog. I left without a purchase, and a horrible shopping experience.

10/8/2013 J. Crew - A few months ago while walking thru the outlet
A few months ago while walking thru the outlet mall I decided to stop by J. Crew. I was welcomed and loved the merchandise so it was so easy to buy beautiful clothes at great prices. I decided to open up a J. Crew credit card. The manager explained all the great deals and advantages of being a part of J.Crew. I was sold.

I pay my bill at the store but I have noticed lately that I am welcomed at the store upon entering by a sales person. When I'm at the counter to pay my bill the manager never looks at me or greets me. She just takes my money and is not engaging or could care less.

Today I stopped in to pay my bill and as I approached the counter as usual, she took my payment but never looked at me or even said hello. I told her that she was rude for not acknowledging me and I wondered if it was because I had just finished working out at the gym and I was wearing my workout clothes and maybe I should be dressed better. She said that everyone dressed like that but said she wasn't rude.

My point is, I am a customer and I like eye contact and be acknowledged but I don't feel like I want to ever buy anything again in your store.

I will finished paying off my $300. bill but not return there.

I'm so upset that had to wright.. I got very nice stylish design J.Crew winter jacket with 80% duck down 20% duck feather padding and OMG the feathers just will not stop coming out so it's absolutely unwearable. A bit better if wearing white top underneath as it doesn't show that much but that is not a good solution after paying a decent amount for the jacket. Very disappointed!

Been an avid jcrew shopper for years but yesterday got a mean manager at Menlo park mall in nj. Very terrible experience that made me almost swear of jcrew. Called their customer service number today. Very disappointed at that location.

I love J Crew stores, love them! I've been a long time customer for years. Recently I've had two incidents that I'm really unhappy about. First one being a pair of pants I bought online ($98) I put them on, the fit was great. I bent over to put my shoes on and the seam ripped out about 5 inches! they were not tight by any means. I had thrown out all receipts at this point, so just sewed the seam up myself. I then bought a denim button down.($89) I put my arms out to stretch and blew the fabric out! It came apart at the back of my upper arm area. I'm talking the fabric just busted out. This is not the seam I am talking about. It was like the fabric was made from a paper towel! again, I had thrown the receipts out by now and could not return. Although-I didn't try?? I've purchased clothing at Target with MUCH better quality.
What's going on?

This Nathan Smith I red on-line about J.Crew's store and could you tell me who is the hiring of J.Crew and I have been unemployed from A.C.Moore Arts and Crafts for 2 months and they accused me of something that I didn't do and like website about J.Crew Stores and I would to apply for a stocking job at J.Crew and I think it is a nice place to work and I would like to meet the hiring manager of J.Crew stores and I started out at A.C.Moore with $7.25per hour and I would you to get me for an interview at J.Crew and could yall ask the hiring manager to give me an inter view about J.Crew stores and could ask the hiring manager about asking in an interview what do you think about J.Crew Stores and the merchanised and about the store you applied for.

5/22/2012 J. Crew - I'm currently visiting New York and had bought a
I'm currently visiting New York and had bought a lot of clothes in Jcrew for the past few months. I went to the Jcrew Men's Store today and tried to return a pair of pants I bought last week by cash. The store manager said I can't return the pants because I only have the passport to prove as a photo ID instead of the State ID. However, I did return a jacket paid by cash from Jcrew two weeks ago. I explained to the manager and he said he didn't believe me!!
The manager had a very bad attitude and insisted he wouldn't take my passport as a valid ID. Isn't it ridiculous? What about all the other visitors in the world who don't have any American ID? Should they just accept the pants that didn't fit because they only have passports? I can't believe I had this bad experience in Jcrew today. I may start to consider shopping in Banana Republic or Club Monaco instead of Jcrew because they don't have the managers who treat customers like this. Please give me an answer. Again, the sale specialist today was the manager of the Soho Jcrew Men's store, NYC.

3/25/2011 J. Crew - Visited the store at Northlake mall the other day.
Visited the store at Northlake mall the other day. I haven't been to this store in a while and boy has customer service gone downhill. I would find better service at a walmart. I was never greeted and while standing with a pile of clothes never offered a fitting room. Once I found someone to open a room for me I asked who the manager was. They pointed to (Charlotte) who was slumped. Over on the register area chatting with someone on the phone. The sales associate asked If I wanted her and I said yes. She never came to find me. Just stood there at the register on the phone laughing and cutting up. I waited awhile too as I had found a dress I really liked. But wasn't going to buy until I talked to her. Needless to say I left very unhappy and never to return to this store again. I guess this is how jcrew wants it's store ran.
