I just called customer service and am extremely dissatisfied. I was unable to get an answer to my question, which is very simple and straightforward. All I need to know is the date when my next payment is going to be due. There was no way I could get the answer to that question. The recording just continued to state all the other things about my account which I was not interested in. But no answer to my question.

I just came back to JC Penny,I have young children and some are reg.slim and Plus JC Penny has meet every need the plus was very hard to find in other Dept.stores matter of fact they didn't even carry plus. Iam glade to b back with them good fit qualiy.And prices for the most,the arazona brand could come down some the rest is great. Thanks J C PENNY

I have been with JCP for a number of years,I just received a letter stating that I am a valued custotmer; well now I am a very dissatisfied customer. I was just penalize for paying my bill too early, which lead me to cancel my account.I asked tobe reinburst Jcp refused. So I no will no longer patronize the store, and I have asked my family to do the same as well as cancel thier accounts.

Honestly, I thought Verizon was the worst customer service center to have to ever call until I had to call JC Penney who now holds the #1 spot for horrible and the worst customer service. There is nothing else to say other than I don't do business with either company now..... Frustrated X customer!

Tried twice now to call this number, did as advised and pressed "0" all the way through, told hold time is more than 10 minutes, chose to hold, every 2 seconds I'm told how important my call is to them, someone finally answers (who doesn't speak good English) and then either they hang up or I am disconnected before I can even state the reason for my call. This is extremely frustrating. Just opened card last month, never rec'd card or a bill, cashier would not take my PO Box for an address and told me I would have to change it later, had PO Box over 6 months so bill did not forward. I'm sure they must have rec'd it back, but still no bill or phonecall. Now what? My credit is at stake here for a lousy % off my bill. Was it worth it? Probably have a late fee now also. Once taken care of, you can bet I will not be shopping at JC Penny anymore.

The quality of the cloths in your stores has really went down hill this year. I have always like the quality of your cloths for children but they are thin material and poorly constructed anymore. I know you have tried to lower prices but penny's was always good cloths before so I think penny's has lost something in the process.

I have to disagree with the first poster here...I just called the listed 800 phone number above, and for the first time I can remember I was pleased with the performance of an automated service. If you follow the prompts, of which there are not a maddening amount, you will eventually get asked if you want to "close your account", which I did, and so I said "close account". If you have a $0 balance, they automated service will go ahead and close your account, give you a confirmation number for the transaction, and ask you if you'd like a letter of confirmation mailed to your billing address. I said yes just to be sure I would have proof!

Anyway, just figured I'd offer that tip, lest anyone in my similar situation ($0 balance and no desire to have credit card account) should come along and think that all is hopeless. You can cancel your account 24 hours a day!

9/30/2011 JC Penny Credit - My father passed away in 2010. He was an avid
My father passed away in 2010. He was an avid JCPenney shopper and creditcard holder. In effort to have his account cleared I went through an incredible amount of red tape. After finally finding a professional individual in the probate department, I was told that the matter was closed. According to my probate attorney I need proof of this. I asked that a letter stating this be faxed to my attorney and per a supervisor with JC Penney Probate Dept. was told that this would be done by the end of the day. That was 2 months ago. My attorney nor I, never received said letter. When I called again today I spoke with Dominick, who couln't locate my account and when I asked for a supervisor placed me on hold and hung up on me after 20 min. I then called back and went through a similar situation, but was spoken to very rudely! Once I finally reached the probate supervisor, Louis, in Mexico, I was again spoken to in a rude and disrespectful manner. When I asked for his supervisor he told me that he didn't have one and that if I wasn't happy I could write a complaint to GE Moneybank in El Paso, TX. I can assure you that I will write a letter and vow to never even consider shopping at JC Penney again.
