Even one star is too high. I have repeatedly phoned with being put on hold for an "eternity". Finally realizing that the call is routed through their Philippine call center . I truly feel that this company should be investigated. I have a policy (in hand), a letter confirming the policy, and yet I am told they have no record. Sounds too fishy !

Absolutely miserable service. My wife and I have LTC policies and cannot contact any representative to service the policies. We moved to a new location and cannot contact anyone thru their website nor phone contact. They have received over $40000 in premium payments......NO SERVICE .

Tried several locations on the internet just to find your phone number. It shouldn't take a detective to be able to locate your number. After reading the rest of these comments I am thinking John Hancock Customer Service is not very good. Keep you jobs her in the USA and maybe your quality would improve. Glad I do not have your insurance.

1/20/2016 John Hancock - I tried to get some basic questions answered,
I tried to get some basic questions answered, waited 10 minutes then was knocked off line. Called back, another long wait. Finally talked to someone who did not have the ability to help me. Asked to speak to someone else and was argued with. Finally demanded a supervisor who it turned out could not help me. Elapsed time another 30 mins. Call this customer service?

Do not return promised phone inquiries. Asking why I received a 1099R form when I had not received any monies from your company. Someone within the John Hancock Insurance Co is signing checks and taking the money that belongs to the payee. I can not file my 2014 federal or state income tax until this is resolved. How many times does a person have to call for help, told to wait 24 to 48 hours which then adds up to weeks. Stop sending all jobs overseas to India, Maybe we can then get help, doubtful!

John Hancock should be ashamed. I returned a stale dated check for re-issuance following the death of my Mother. They've shuffled their feet over the last month avoiding paying by first closing out my request, only to re-open it following my query. They're extremely good at taking your money and exceptionally poor paying out.

12/1/2014 Recently I received a letter from John Hancock
Recently I received a letter from John Hancock about updating my address, something which we had done about three years ago. I called the number they provided and after being hung up on once after being on hold for about a 12 minute wait I tried again and after a 23 minute wait a young lady answered, granted she was somewhat helpful I do not understand why I should be on hold for 35 minutes to simply update a mailing address. I think that part of the reason is because when I asked to who I was speaking and where they were located the answer was a young lady working in the call center located in the Philippines. When John Hancock wants to sell you a policy they are there at your beckon call, when you try to get a question answered a few years later, well that is a different story. Maybe John Hancock should worry more about pleasing their current customers who then would not become former disgruntled customers.

7/10/2014 John Hancock - I have applied for Long-Term Care Insurance
I have applied for Long-Term Care Insurance policy on the date of 1/24/2014 and have not received a response back on rather it was approved or not !! I KNOW I AM TO RECEIVED A LETTER STATIND WHETHER IT WAS APPROVED OR DECLINED, IT HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS NOW, I WOULD APPRECIATION IF YOU COULD TAKE CARE THIS FOR ME.
