8/24/2016 Kia Finance - I have a leased KIA Optima and recently moved from
I have a leased KIA Optima and recently moved from Florida to New York State. When I went to DMV to register the car in NYS I was given a form to fax to them to get their permission to do so because they are the lien holders. The fax was sent on the 19th and when I returned to the DMV on Tuesday I was told they still had not received the fax. I tried to call their customer service number all day, every 1/2 hour and was put on hold, recording telling me it would be 4 minutes then 10 minutes then 20 minutes. The number I have is 866-331-5632 and my invoice said the number could be called from 8am to 9pm EST. When I called at 6 the recording said the office was closed and to call back when they are open. Then I sent them an e-mail which I received this morning thanking me for contacting them and would get back to me in 2 days. I called this morning at 8am and the recording said they were not open and their hours were 8am to 9pm CENTRAL TIME. What kind of game are they playing? I finally called their Customer Service Support number and was forwarded to someone in the leasing department. When I explained the situation I was told that even though I sent the fax on the 19th the lien department was working on the faxes from the 18th and it would be about 2 or 3 days before my fax would be answered. That is ludicrous. Now I can't register the car for probably a week. Luckily the sticker doesn't run out until the 31st. Right now, since I still have the paperwork from Florida; I am tempted to re-register the car in Florida for another year. I have leased KIA's since 2012 but after reading all the negative reviews and my experience I don't believe I will lease from KIA again once my lease is over. Too bad because it is a great car but the finance company sucks.

12/10/2015 Kia Finance - KIA Platinum coverage and they do not honor it!
I bought the Platinum coverage for my new 2015 Soul. I was explained it should cover oil changes, tire rotation if I had a flat they would not seal tire, but replace it. I explained I live far from a dealer and the finance manager said I could take the car to any ASE dealer.
None of the above is true. I even took it to a Kia Dealer (closer than where I purchased the car) and they couldn't even honor my Platinum coverage. Rediculous-where does I go for an oil change and tire rotation? Still no answers.

If you are trying to payoff your car, don't listen to the Customer Service staff. They consistently gave me incorrect information regarding getting the lien release and ended up costing me over $67.00 in fees from my bank and took over 3-days of my time. You can tell they're lying...there lips move.

Wow. We wish we would have checked out the company before leasing our 2014 sportage. I just called and I am married to to leasee they would not give me any answers , as to why their charging a late fee, when I have the payment automatically withdrawn from the checking account . When I talked to the bank, Kia had never tried to get a payment. Husband is soo busy, he doesn't even have time to eat. Now they want him to call and put me on the account. I bet if he would die, they would be after me for their money.

After numerous calls and only receiving a busy signal, I'm finally on hold. Holding at 30 minutes so far, repeatedly told "an agent will be with you shortly". Uh, hasn't happened. I was even told someone would be with me in 2 minutes. That didn't happen either. If my satisfaction was your concern why are you not staffed properly for your call volume? Still waiting to talk to a rep as to why two payments were deducted for one month and one is out of my account but not reflected on my statement????

This company is the worst company to do business with, i submitted a payment and the system took two payments, that caused a bank fee of over $130.oo nin my banking accoumt. I told them my lights were about to be shut off, and I had no funds till next payday for food or gas to go to work, so I could keep paying them, and my next pay date was over 10 days away, and they just said , i'm sorry for the omconvenience, but did not offer to settle up with the fees and said they will do a reversal, but only through the mail, which will take about 10 days to process, not positive but I swear I heard a smirk on the supervisors face. When I'm done with them it will be the last, and to think this was my second purchase through them. Well you live and learn

It is impossible to reach anyone at KIA Motor Finance by telephone. I have been calling on and off for two weeks and all I get is a busy signal. I have a question? I want to transfer my old vanity license plates onto my new KIA Sorento. The NYS Motor Vehicle Department told me I need to get permission from KIA Motor Finance.
