hi I placed an order online aprox $350 ,the next day I rec. an email stating"your order was cancelled" not why or by whom ,I responded with 3 emails asking for an explanation as to why my order was cancelled ,it is now 3 days later and NO RESPONSE AT ALL ! this will be my LAST attempt to buy from LORD AND TAYLOR

11/27/2013 Lord & Taylor Credit - Very upset!!! I tried to order a pair of boots
Very upset!!! I tried to order a pair of boots online. The first attempt I entered in the wrong security code so I received a message saying issue with card. So I fixed and resubmitted. It kept saying there was an issue with my card. Not sure what the problem was because I had more than enough. I stopped trying to place the order and called my bank to see what was going on with my card. My card was fine but Lord & Taylor deducted money from my account 4 times!!!! when and order was never placed. Now my account is at $0.00 right before Thanksgiving. They could not find any record of an order on their end. Beyond upset!!! Have to wait 3 days for my bank to release this hold. I will never shop with tem again.

9/17/2013 Lord & Taylor Credit - I just got off the phone with customer service! I
I just got off the phone with customer service! I received a black card in June and was informed I must spend $1500 by December 31st. If I had qualified in January I would have the entire year. I have been a customer for almost 15 years and now I'm a very unhappy consumer. If a black card is issued to a customer they should have an entire year to spend their quota.
If this continues to be the policy Lord and Taylor will have one less loyal customer.
I'm sure I will not hear anything from this comment. Von Maur here I come!

I have been getting calls each day at 8 or 9 looking for my $57 past due payment. I had $25 due on 12/13 but forgot; I called at 9 am on the 14th to make the payment and asked for them to waive the late fee. They refused. My January bill is due 1/13 and says $57 is minimum, so I was intending to make the payment then. But they keep calling. In the meanwhile, I saw the same item that I had purchased but not yet paid for on sale on line at L&T for 25% off. i bought it and just returned the original item, saving $40 PLUS L&T OVERCHARGED ME on the original item, charging me $175 instead of $160 as item was marked (no idea what I was thinking at the register). So, I am ahead $55 and not intending to pay the late fee ever, in any event. Closed the account when they refused to waive it. Am done with them. Plenty of other shopping options

11/2/12 WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE-UNINFORMED, RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL
Ordered a jacket on-line. Eta for delivery 3-5 days. Called one week later, gave rep my email, phone and order #. She gives me a tracking #. Turns out that was for a different order. Called back, gave the order # again, told internet orders don't start with the # I gave, rudely asked what store I bought it in, said it was internet, tranfers me. Next Rep is chomping in my ear while eating and talking, tells me it shipped and they aren't allowed to give tracking #'s. What??? I call back, speak to another rep, she says it will ship in 3-5 days. I tell her it's been over a week since I placed the order, she says again 3-5 days. I ask for Supervisor, who finally tells me it's on back order. L&T is completely out of them. Why doesn't the website say this? Why does it take speaking to 5 people to get the facts/truth?
What are the chances this will ever be restocked and shipped??
FOR AN UPSCALE STORE, THIS IS A DISGRACE. I WILL SHOP NORDSTROM AND EVEN MACY'S IN THE FUTURE

8/16/2012 Lord & Taylor Credit - I placed an order for some polo shirts. In two
I placed an order for some polo shirts. In two days, the price dropped on 3 of the shirts I had ordered. Upon reading on their website, I called for the price adjustment as it was still within 7 days of the purchase date.

This is when the trouble starts. The customer service rep first just out right says no, when I referred them to their website, she puts me on hold for about 10 minutes and then comes back and tells me that she may not be able to adjust the price, and "recommends" that I just return the order, and it was up to me if I wanted to place another order at the cheaper price. But she was going to check for me and put me on hold... she never returned and I hung up after 35 minutes.

I place another order, and I get an email next day that my order has been cancelled. I call customer service and they flat out tell me that my order will not go through, and that they don't recommend I place another order because that will get cancelled too.

So, they'd rather have me return everything, but won't sell me at a lower advertised price!

I purchased a bathingsuit last week with out trying it on. I tried it on at home and when I did one of the tags ripped off . I put the tag back in the bag with the receipt and the bathingsuit, as it didn't fit. I returned to the Lord and Taylor store in
Freehold mall tonight to return it. There was only one register open and when I gave the sales clerk the bag with the bathingsuit, she took it out and said where is the tag?. I said it came off when I tried it on and its in the bag. She started to give me a hard time about the tag not being on the bathingsuit an again I said it fell off when I tried it on. She continued to rant about not being able to take the suit back without the tag being on the suit. So I offered to staple it back on but that was not sufficient enough for her. She kept saying over and over that it was against store policy to take back an item without a tag being on it but she would do it anyway. She was very rude to me and I was embarrased the entire time I was there. The customer service was avery poor.
I hope this is the Lord and Taylor customer service dept. website. You need to train your sales people to be more curtious to your customers. I have been a customer at your store for 30 years and have never been treated that way. Please lood into this. The check out counter was in the dress dept.
