The Miles Kimball Company is a leader in the catalog business ? offering cards, gifts, helpful household items, and unique food products. Operating from the shores of the Fox River in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the business consists of several distinct catalogs: Miles Kimball, Christmas Cards by Miles Kimball, Mrs. Kimball?s Candy Shoppe, and our newest offering ? It started almost 75 years ago, when an ambitious young man named Miles went into business with a simple idea: to market a Christmas card in which the design spelled out the name of the sender. With a Minneapolis phone book and some borrowed cash, Miles printed and mailed a card personalized ?Johnson? to every household with that name in the Twin Cities. The response was fantastic, and provided Miles Kimball with enough seed money to produce his first catalog. Decades later, Christmas cards ? the idea that started it all ? are still produced and personalized in Oshkosh. I have ordered your magnetic calendar for YEARS. It is a perfect way to keep my life organized. I was a little upset two years ago, when you dropped the name of the month from the lower right hand corner. I easily remedied that by writing in the months myself. However, I am EXTREMELY upset with the new format of putting the months back to back on the same sheet. Now to go and add or see the next month, I can no longer just flip up the page. I must remove the calendar from the refrigerator and turn it over to see what I want. It is MOST inconvenient. There is an old saying that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It was perfect as it was! PLEASE return to the new format.

They sent an order that was backordered and charged me an additional processing fee of 1.99. I am trying to call the number on my invoice (800-546-2255) and all I get is a busy signal. I want them to send me a postage paid label so I can return this item and also be removed from their catalog list, as I do not want to do any more business with them.

Warning to all customers: Ordering from Miles Kimball will result in an offer for a shipping rebate. This is really a membership with IC*FreeShipping and if you sign up it is a 1-month trial and if you do NOT take further action to cancel it, you will be charged 12.97 every month on your credit card. Very sneaky and shame on Miles Kimball for even being connected with such a ploy. Will never order from Miles Kimball or Walter Drake again.

I've shopped with Miles Kimball a couple of times. Usually I get a huge box, with a small item in it. twice I have gotten broken items. Customer service is a joke there. Wait on hold for a good 5 or 10 minutes, and then TRANSFER! Stay away from this place!

9/21/2011 Miles Kimball Co. - I wish to alertall customers and perspective
I wish to alertall customers and perspective customers of Miles Kimball of the problem I encountered when dealing with them. I purchased their Long Handled Grass Shears XL – Item #315508. After receiving this item and using it 4, maybe 5, times; I went to use it again and the lower handle broke, so the cutters do not open and close anymore. I emailed Miles Kimball and received a response that they “can not issue a return or replacement on this order since it has passed our 45 Day Return Policy date.” I emailed them back asking if that meant they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.
AND repeating that these Grass Sheers were poorly made and broke after only 4 or 5 uses! I then asked that they have a manager or supervisor call or email me. I then heard from Miles Kimball Customer Service Supervisor who wrote “We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. After reviewing your email and the fact that you have only used the sheers but 4 or 5 times I will grant your replacement past the 45 days as a onetime courtesy. Thank you. If we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to e-mail us or call Customer Service”

When I received the second pair of grass shears, I used them 2 or 3 times and they worked great. Then I tried to use them again, and they broke same as the original pair. I went to my email files, found the email from the supervisor, and wrote to her direct saying, “these long handled grass shears were just as bad as the first set! I used this second set of shears 2, maybe 3 times, and they broke just like the first ones, this time I wanted my money back, not another replacement.”
Todate, I have heard nothing from anyone at Miles Kimball.

I want all customers and perspective customers of Miles Kimball to know that this product is not worth the money AND MILES KIMBALL DOES NOT STAND BEHIND what they sell! In the past I have bought many items from Miles Kimball – however, this incidence has cost them atleast one customer! I hope all who read this will think twice (or even 3 times) before buying this type of product from Miles Kimball.

I think your addition of a "processing fee" after the "shipping and handling" fee is excessive. Your shipping rates are already very high. This additional cost certainly minimizes any savings you offer in your discounts. I do not think I will be ordering from you in the future.

I recived my order today for the total body exerciser and there must be part of it missing. The hand petal extension doess'nt have the telescoping extension and the locking pin as shown in 4b of your instructions is no there. The handle only extends about 2 feet. please advise as what I can do about it.
