DO NOT PLACE AN ONLINE ORDER FOR AN EGIFT CARD!!!! I attempted to do this 5 times and it kept saying order could not be placed at that time. I thought perhaps I had typed something in wrong, so I attempted it again..There are two words in my last name and that usually is the problem. I called the number given after it said order couldn't be placed and then the service rep attempted it also. I ended up using another card and it worked.
I called the bank of which I have the account with, and the clerk informed me my account was overdrawn due to the fact that 5- $100 transactions had posted. Great!!! So I phone customer service to have them cancel those transactions and I was told they cant do it until maybe Monday after they take a look at it. Seriously?
But you can bet if I was late paying them I would be charged a late fee! Im very unhappy. what was to be a simple transaction ruined the entire weekend most important, my credit!!!

Brought a black pair 7th Avenue shorts in July at the Henderson Mall. I have worn them twice and the hem has come completely apart and they were buy get one half off. It's too far to drive there to return and don't have a receipt didn't think they would fall apart have been shopping at New York and Co.for a long time love the pants.I feel that they should send me another pair by mail with a return for the damaged one that I have.

I have been a customer of NYC for years and they have never been known for customer service however, I had the worst shopping experience on 4/30/2013 at their Alpharetta, Ga North Point store. I shopped for an hour got ready to purchase my items which were over $300 and I asked if I could have my items left hanging and was told no by the cashier. I thought surely this is a mistake because I'm spending my money it's a few hangers and I'm sure NYCO cares if I am happy as a customer so I asked to speak to the manager Kristen and asked again and she told me no because they had to hang other clothes that evening.. I left all the clothes at the store and was shocked they allowed me to leave empty handed because of hangers I'm sure the company doesn't even pay a penny for. The next day I called their customer service dept which was terrible and was told NYCO has a hanger shortage and they could approve me to have 3 hangers. This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. They miss the point of ensuring customers are happy and having a great shopping experience. Using discretion and wisdom does not hurt. Even Walmart ( who is not know for CS at all) bags your items the way you want. They obviously don't care about service and therefore I care not to spend my hard earn cash with them. There are too many choices and when they end up truly suffering like so many other businesses that missed the boat on CS it will be too late. Don't ware your time or money with NyCO.

Why aren't I special enough?
NY & Co. sent me an email. If I am a teacher or a nurse, I can get special deals. Oh really? Why not MY profession? Why not the unemployed who are shopping for job interview apparel? Why not my engineer daughter or my computer techie daughter?

By singling out these 2 professions, they are indicating by the discount that they value these women more than those of other professions or jobs. And I, for one, am sick to death of being less valued than Police, Fireighters, Teachers, Nurses, Single Baby Mamas and Veterans.

Either give ALL of us the discount, or give NONE of us the discount.

I have only been a Customer here for 1 month and that's TOO
LONG!!!The stores I've shopped at are in two different states. One of the stores was Ok?,but even worst was the credit card service!
I have never experienced such at any " business" .It started with day 1 & ends has soon has customer service opens on Monday for me. Because I don't need the hassle.They seem to thrive on in order to be their customer.I.will never have anything good to say about this company.

how does a sales associate credit back a refund to a non reloadable gift card and then inform me that there's nothing they can do to get my money back? the credit card company didn't receive the money because the card doesn't have the capacity to be reloaded.
Bottom line NY and Co. doesn't give a rat's ass about me getting my money back.

I AM A LOYAL CUSTOMER OF NY&CO. SAT, 9/8 I ENTERED THE STORE WITH MY CITY CASH. I HAD 6 COUPONS. I DID MY SHOPPING (ONE HOUR) AND WENT TO THE CASH REGISITER. THE CS PERSON (HEATHER) TOLD ME I NEEDED TO SPEND $5.00 TO USE ANOTHER CITY CASH. I SHOPPED AGAIN AND RETURNED TO THE REGISTER. SHE THEN TOLD ME MY REDLINES DID NOT COUNT AND SHE TOOK THEM OUT AND I WOULD NEED TO SPEND ANOTHER $20.00 IN ORDER TO USE ALL MY CITY CASH. I RETURNED SHOPPING AND CAME BACK TO THE REGISTER WITH A BELT THAT WAS ON A SALE RACK. SHE THEN TOLD ME THE BELT WAS NOT THE PRICE I THOUGHT IT WAS IT DID NOT BELONG ON THAT RACK. SO, I LEFT THE STORE WITHOUT BUYING ANYTHING. HAVE NOT BEEN BACK SINCE. HERE IS THE KICKER... HEATHER'S MANAGER - HEATHER, STOOD AT THE DESK AND ENCOUNTERED EVERYTHING HAPPENING AND DID NOT ONE TIME STEP IN TO OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE, ANY APOLOGIES OR EXPLANATIONS. WHEN I ASKED HER IF SHE WAS THE MANAGER SHE SAID YES. I ASKED WHY SHE DID ASSIST HER ASSOCIATE AND HER RESPONSE WAS SHE COULD PROVIDE ME WITH THE CORPORATATE CS TELEPHONE NUMBER.... NICE!!!

I will NEVER shop at ny & co again!!! I had the absolute worst customer experience ever with their customer service when I called in....at LEAST 10 times!!! A customer should never have to call in more than once to get an issue resolved!! This company needs to get in check and re-evaluate all of their representatives because the image you portray to me and so many other people is not a good one!! They say the best way to gain customers is by word of mouth...well guess what its also the fastest way to loose customers! You can be absolutely positive that I will never give a good word on this company ever again! Ny & Co it would behoove take note of all the bad comments and suggestions you are receiving on this site and else where and put them to some good use in giving some proper training to your representatives!

NY&Co. has the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Not only do they not answer their phones in the customer service center, the online customer service reps are rude and insensitive to customer problems. The company's overall procedures for dealing with customers are unacceptable and deserve to be highlighted as the WORST company in terms of service amongst all of its peers. I hope it goes under for its horrible treatment of people.

I am extremely disappointed with your staff and the condition of your store, as well as the articles of clothing within the store, located in Warwick, RI. Foremost, the sales associates were eyeing me up and down as though I were a vagrant. I had initially inquired about a basket of socks located at the front register. The socks all had a red marker line through the price tag on the back. I asked one associate if they were on clearance; and she responded, "Yes they are." Another associate, possibly the manager, came over and stated that those are "marked wrong." So I said, “that’s strange, every single pair has a red line through the price," and she responded, “they are all marked wrong." After looking through very dusty and stained clothes, I had finally found two pair of pants and a few pieces of jewelry that I attempted to purchase. The total was $78.00. I handed the associate a coupon for $25.00 off $75.00. This associate refused to take the coupon. At that point, I left everything on the counter; I told her "I will not be taking anything." In this economy, she lost your company at least $50.00 of my money and my future business. I will never again shop at the NY & CO in the Warwick, RI Mall. YOU LOST MY BUSINESS.
