9/27/2016 RAM Trucks - I have a 2014 ram 1500 Hemi with the 8 speed
I have a 2014 ram 1500 Hemi with the 8 speed trans. I love the truck, and had a 2002, 2005, 2008, and now a 2014. Have not had any problem until now with the 2014. The transmission overheats. i am towing a 17' Boston Whaler. The total weight of boat. motor and trailer is under 2000 lbs. When I back it up in the drive way the trans. starts to climb. The first time is ok, if I need to do it 2 or 3 times to get it straight then the problem starts. It went up to 248 degrees. The truck would move, when I give it the gas the engine rpm stay at idle. The rpm go up after a few seconds, and it jerks backward. You can smell the oil in trans overheating. Traveling on the interstate I noticed it ran about 175, but due to an accident starting and stooping it went to 195 degrees. I spoke to the service mgr. at the dealer. He said if I brought it in,and it did not do what I am describing he would not be able to help me. The truck wad s purchased 2 years ago with 18,000 miles. What do If the dealer will help help with the problem. I have had Dodges going back to the 1980, and never had this problem.

7/17/2016 RAM Trucks - Morning, this is more of an inquiry, I have a 2016
Morning, this is more of an inquiry, I have a 2016 Ram 1500 4x4 and on the inside of both my fenders are stamped two (2) arrows one points towards the outside away from the engine compartment (this one seems to have a TORX screw head visible) and the other points in towards the engine compartment (no screw head seen) I was toward one or both were for headlight adjustment and if this is true which one would be used for the raising and lowering and which one for left to right I have inquired to three (3) local dealers and to my surprise none of the three even knew they were there and one (1) dealer didn't have a clue, not very high marks on the knowledge base, any way can you help...Thanks
