Horrible horrible service ... Just moved to a new apt n want try another Internet provider . And I switch to RCN , only few days after Started using RCN , the Internet broke down like few times already . Called the customer service no answer at all . I thought Time Warner is bad enough , but this ?! Way outta line !!!

4/15/2011 RCN - I left a comment this morning regarding my email
I left a comment this morning regarding my email which had been down for 10 days. Later today it was restored. Tonight it is again down. I can't access any email. The service person at customer service advises me very politely to wait. I've been waiting. As I said in my previous email, this is poor service. Worse than that, it is no service at all.

My neighbors have changed to another cable company Up until now I have been satisfied with RCN. That is slipping away pretty fast.

I have been on hold for hours today, was eventually given a ticket number and told to call back in 4 hours. I have just made that call and been told that there is no information, and I should just keep checking. Appalling service. Really no service.

RCN SUCKS!!! THey have HORRIABLE customer service, not nice on phone,. they are a SCAM!! If cablevision or version where in the lehigh valley area they would b OUT OF BUSSINESS!! ridiculious u have to sign 2yr agree ment n then mind u charge 135.00 a MONTH for JUST CABLE fuckn RIP OFF!! ANd now they CHARGE u 50.00 to pick up you boxes... no longer free!!! They dont give u the service that u pay for either!!!Here i refered 2 people they didnt even give a months FREE like they say they WILL they ARE A COMPLETE RIP OF go with Direct TV if in the leigh valley area.... U will regret using there services!!

I would like to know what it would cost me just for my TV. I"m at a point that I can't afford all of this stuff. I went from $76. amonth to $111. amonth and I can't aforrd all of this so I'm goung to have to cut some things. Thank you very much.

My experience with RCN is horrible. First, they were suppose to be here a certain day for service connection and no one showed. Then they tell me it will be 7 days before another appointment is secheduled. As an online college student I am dependant on my internet service, so this was not exceptable. After many phone calls, to actual U.S. citizens that spoke English, I was given an exceptable date for installing service.

Now, one month later, my internet service is down - their answer - Friday seven days from the date I called. Again, let me remind you that I am a online student!!! Then they said they would credit me the down time - $2.20 - wow I fell over with excitement! I will be searching all day - at the library - for a new provider. I am sick of companies outsourcing and thinking they are providing a great service. RCN could be one of the worse providers of service and customer service out there! Stay away if you can!
