6/23/2016 Rheem Heating & Cooling - I purchased a Ruud (Rheem product) air
I purchased a Ruud (Rheem product) air conditioning in 2011. The coil has been leaking from almost the beginning. The company who installed it said they would replace the coil with the new aluminum coils Ruud is offering but I am concerned that this product may have the same issues. Also, while the new coil is supposedly covered, I will still be responsible for the service, labor, and Freon costs which is approximately $1000! Does anyone have advice? I am from NJ. 6/9/2016 Rheem Heating & Cooling - What a Piece of Crap! Purchased a new A/C unit
What a Piece of Crap! Purchased a new A/C unit from Rheem in 12/11 by mid 2013 got a notice that they had a batch of faulty coils and replaced it in 9/13. Two years later and the coil is bad again. It's going to cost me $600.00 to replace it (labor). They say the coil they replaced in 2013 "shouldn't be one of the affected ones" ! How do they know they haven't even seen it! Do yourself a favor, DON'T BUY ANY RHEEM PRODUCTS!!!!!

I purchased a Rheem A/C July of 2014. Since then I have spent $300 on refrigerant that has been leaking. Finally the source of the leak was found. Thinking the cost's to replace the part were under warranty,I was not expecting the labor cost's to be over $650! Rheem knowingly sells A/C systems with defective part's and has no intention of reimbursing customers for the cost to replace the shoddy part's.
Take one thing away from this post, DO NOT BUY RHEEM!

Don't confuse equipment quality issues with incompetent installation. Most issues above are simply from cheap incompetent installation.

Also, warranties are what they are, and on what they cover. Next time be aware of what you are buying instead of focusing on how CHEAP you can get it done.

Do NOT buy this product? I purchased the new HVAC unit in July 2015. It is not working yet. Installer is surly and NOW says: it is a piece of junk made in Mexico. The whole north wall of my house is vibrating, which will cause no damage according to Rheems. Rheems moved their plant last year. Customer service is non-existant. How could a once good company have gone so wrong? GREED!

1/5/2016 Rheem Heating & Cooling - I had a new Rheem furnace installed last fall
I had a new Rheem furnace installed last fall when my old furnace died. Since then I've experienced nothing but problems with it. For some reason, it goes into what the installer calls "lockout" where it runs constantly and does not shut off but only blows cold air. Last night it went down to 19 degrees and my house in only 50 degrees inside right now. The installer refuses to bring a Rheem rep with him when he comes. He comes and fools with it for a few minutes and gets it out of lockout but doesn't explain why it's doing that and how to prevent the problem in the future. I just called Rheem customer service myself and they refuse to give me the name or phone of the local
Rheem rep.

I bought a Rheem unit two years ago and it has given me nothing but problems since I bought it from results air conditioning. I don't know what kind of product you are selling, but now Results Air who I bought the air conditioning from is telling me to buy a new air. What the hell is wrong with him after I paid him almost every two months for repairs on the unit. From the starter to the compressor to the coils, freezing on us, free on I could go on and on! I need this problem resolved before I initiate a lawsuit!

Thank five times before buying a Rheem AC. What junk! We have the warrantee and it covers parts but not the Freon and labor to refill the unit twice per year. The idiots placed the breaker inside the unit so at least once a year you have to have to replace the breaker because of the moisture rust out the breaker. It is just a matter of time before a fire occurs. Check other companies and spend a little more money for a quality product before buying a Rheem product.

9/15/2015 Rheem Heating & Cooling - 13 months and a $500 coil replacement
13 months and a $500 coil replacement. The company supplied the part under warranty but not Freon or R22 or labor! I own a company that buys 100's of homes and does rehabs on them and will NEVER use another Rheem unit again! Cannot contact anyone from the company so plan on contacting TV and doing a consumer report asap. I am in a network of home buyers here in Florida and also plan to spread the work to avoid Rheem across the board for all projects now that I see how they operate when you have issues. Trane customer service is great and will deal with them from now on because I cant even get customer service to answer the phone for Rheem!
