2/28/2016 San Francisco Chronicle - No phone number available!
No phone number available! What a way to run a business, terrible service, and unreachable. Saturday February 27, the paper arrived after 11:00. It is Sunday 10:15 no paper. Three weeks ago I requested that my paper be stopped for 5 days. Came home and three newspapers in front of my house. Who's in charge there? You should be ashamed of the way Chronicle customers are treated!

9/6/2015 San Francisco Chronicle - After 5 weeks of not receiving my Sunday paper and many phone calls and complaints
After 5 weeks of not receiving my Sunday paper and many phone calls and complaints followed by promises of delivery, I will be canceling my subscription. The last call I made was answered by employee #106. He promised! I would get the paper this Sunday as he was contacting the delivery, person. Well, no paper! I say enough is enough!

Service is absolutely terrible. An armature could do better. I placed my Sunday paper on hold for one week and two weeks after my return, it still hasn't been restarted again. I have reported this multiple time on the Chronicle website and one by telephone. There just doesn't seem like anybody's home.

After being a loyal subscriber for years, I am canceling my subscription. I have had horrendous delivery service from day one. After continual calling with no relief, i canceled my weekly papers and retained the Sunday edition to get the TV guide. But after not receiving the TV guide with my paper again, I will cancel altogether. I can subscribe to the TV Guide itself. It's ironic that even though I live only a few miles from San Francisco, I get better service from the New York Times.

I am so frustrated with your newspaper delivery. I have been so pleased in the past and
I feel like I am being manipulated into internet use. Of the several months I have been a subscriber I have received my paper ONCE without a phone call. Today I could not even get threw to the late delivery people. Is that due to the overwhelming amount of people that do not receive their Sunday papers before 8:00 am?
I so enjoy my Sunday morning with my paper and this is so disappointing. Is the only answer cancelation?

2/25/2013 San Francisco Chronicle - My Sunday paper arrived without the Insight
My Sunday paper arrived without the Insight section. I don't want another paper delivered late today so that I can get the section. I did notice that a large travel mag ad was in the paper for France. Didn't help. I did read the Insight on line but I want the paper in my hand. That is why I subscribe.

10/22/2012 San Francisco Chronicle - I phoned for a vacation hold of two days and asked
I phoned for a vacation hold of two days and asked that the papers be bundled and delivered upon my return. Past experience told me that it was possible they would hold the papers, but not to get my hopes up too much. Sure enough, when I returned there were my papers where my neighbor had placed them out of sight so it wouldn't look as though no one was home, an open invitation to theives. He was worried that something might have happened to me, and if he didn't see the next day he would check the house and then phone one of my children.
Will the Chronicle ever get this vacation hold trick right? Would I be willing to bet money on it? Don't hold your breath.

4/24/2012 San Francisco Chronicle - I've had some success removing the meebo stuff
I've had some success removing the meebo stuff altogether by adding the following line to my hosts file (in \Windows\system32\drivers\etc):
127.0.0.1 cim.meebo.com
At first I'd tried disabling cookies from meebo.com in the Firefox options dialog, and that made the meebo menu stop working but didn't remove the bar. The above hosts kludge seems to prevent your browser from retrieving any graphics or functionality from meebo.

2/23/2012 San Francisco Chronicle - SFGate launched meebo to take over the task bar on
SFGate launched meebo to take over the task bar on my homepage and slow down and interfere with the performance, constantly throwing images on to the screen and blocking content.
I never selected or requested meebo and I emphatically DO NOT WANT IT!!!!

If it is not removed or simple instructions to remove it are not supplied ASAP -- I WILL DISCONTINUE 6 YEARS OF sfGATE PATRONAGE and I will be certain to advertise EXTENSIVE bad-press for this offensive pop-up task bar and meebo/sfgate policy.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO COMMON DECENCY IN AMERICAN BUSINESS????
Thanks for your prompt resolution of this assault.
