I'm not the type of person to blog about customer service, no matter how bad it is, but the experience I had with Wet Seal this evening completely blew my mind. Irecentlyrchased a pair of $6 tights about a week and a half ago. The young sales girl upsold me on the current buy 5 for $20 promotion that Wet Seal is currently running. Instead of the intended two items, I wound up with 5, good salesmanship for her. I left the store only to try the tights on the next day and find 3 small holes. Of course since the tights were black and I'm sure of my size I did not check them in the store. I assumed that the merchandise was decent quality and did not expect that they would sell me clothing with holes in it. Of course, neither the sales person that rung me up nor myself realized the holes. It wasn't a big deal, so I put the tights to the side until I had some time this evening to return and simply ask for an exchange. When I arrived and told one of the girls what I needed she directed me to her manager, which is all appropriate enough. I told the manager my predicament and she didn't say a word to me. She held up the tights to inspect them for a minute. She asked me if I had the tages and I replied that I did not. Granted, I have read the store refund policy, where it does state that there are "no cash refunds and that items with tags attached may be exchanged or receive store credit." I did take off the tags because I had every intention of wearing them, until I put them on and saw the holes. Now as I mentioned before, I work in the customer service industry, where I also sell clothing, and I am an assistant manager, so I know what can and cannot be done at that level. I was not expecting a refund when I went in to the store, just a simple exhange since I was sold damaged merchandise. The manager, Sue Vargas, began to give me attitude when I questioned her not being able to exhange $6 tights. She then rolled her eyes and rudely asked me how I could not have noticed the holes when I purchased them? Obviously, I wasn't looking for holes because I'm not usually sold damaged merchandise, and obviously the sales girl didn't notice it when she sold it to me. Out of good faith, she refused to exchange the tights and when I asked for her customer service number she started to patronize me and disrespect me even more with her attitude. I proceeded to ask for my product and she threw it at me, and then called me a B***H! I could not believe it!!! I cannot imagine treating any customer that way and I don't know how she can get away with it. At this point, I don't even care about the tights. It's the principle of the matter and the fact that she thinks she can treat people that way and get away with it. If those are the type of people that Wet Seal has working for them, I truly feel sorry for their future business. Customer Service is a big part of business these days, and with employees like that, I can gaurantee that theirbusiness will fail. I will never shop at Wet Seal again. Also, don't even try calling customer service, because they just leave you on hold forever, and have you leave a message for a person that will probably never call me back. The store I'm speaking of is in Albuqeurque, New Mexico. The store #553, store manager (if you can call that managing) is Sue Vargas.

I went to the Wet Seal at Ballston commons mall and the assistant manager, Rosie was a complete and utter rude individual. She wouldn't help, she was gossiping with her co-workers, and worst of all, they were acting like children versus grown women. I didn't get a hello or even a goodbye. THANKS ROSIE! I WILL NEVER SHOP AT YOUR STORE AGAIN!

10/12/2011 The Wet Seal Inc. - I usually go to the Wet Seal in Bourbonnias
I usually go to the Wet Seal in Bourbonnias located in Northfield Mall which I did last night around 8:40 which allowed me to have 20 minutes of shopping. First, I was not greeted by the manager, Nicki, and also the sales associate that were in front of the store. Second, I acknowledge Nicki and asked about a particular shirt but she gestured to the sales associate to answer me which was kind of rude but at least I received an answer. I just really had it when Nicki turned off the music at 8:46 exactly, to indicate that she wanted the store to close ,not at 9 pm but when she was ready . Once she came from the back she told me in these words, " you have ten minutes"! Not with a smile , not in a nice tone. At that point I just wanted to leave so I guess Nicki got her way after all. I will never shop there again !

I ordered 3 pairs of sandals 3 months ago. one was out of stock and they charged me and they have not reinbursed me yet (3 months later. The other 2 ripped after wearing them once. I called customer service and the wait time for someone to pick up the phone is 35 minutes+ once they have picked up they say they will get a supervisor on the phonw and then the line goes dead. I have shipped the 2 sandals back with a letter explaining everything and im still waiting to hear from them. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

Bought a pair of sandals online and got them with chips of the silver coming off the sandal. I shipped them back and paid for the package to send in and only got reimbursed for the actual shoes not for my package to ship it off! I will never shop here again!
