disappointed in yankee candle. this past year they burn poorly and are no longer fragrant. tarts have little fragfrance and cannot be reused as in the past. I will no longer purchase yankee. in a tough economy it was nice to purchase candles. however I have found a beautiful candle for a lesser price with fragrance.

8/28/2012 The Yankee Candle Co. Inc. - Recently purchased a "Baking Spices" large jar
Recently purchased a "Baking Spices" large jar candle. Previously, Yankee Candles burned
clean and the wick didn't smoke. I have kept the wick trimmed to 1/4" as suggested and
burn 3 hrs. at a time. There is wax residue on the jar as the candle burns down.
I am disappointed and wonder if the quality of Yankee Candles has declined. Yankee
is more expensive, but in the past there has been long burning time, no-smoking wick, and
clean burn-down in the jar. Disappointed!

First of all, I've sent an email to the customer service address, [email protected],com, twice -- and never received back so much as a form letter. I love Yankee Candles and have been using them in my home and as gifts for many years. I used to live in New England and a trip down to the Factory Store was a special day for my husband and I. However, the agressive sales tactics in my local store (Carlisle, PA) have been effecting my opinion of the whole company. My husband and I only go into the actual Yankee Candle store now as a last resort -- and we literally brace ourselves before we go in. Once we're in the store, we're basically accosted by a way-too-friendly (with a desperate edge) and attentive salesperson who literally doesn't stop asking us questions and telling us to try various products, repeating various deals, etc. until we can't stand it anymore. The experience is invariably very uncomfortable and awkward. My husband and I know what scents we like, and want to walk around leisurely and see what might be new and give them a sniff. But with the aggressiveness of the sales people, we can't do that. We almost have to be rude to get some time to walk around in the store, and then the experience is just more awkward because we had to turn our back on the salesperson and behave in a way we usually don't behave in a store. This seems to happen no matter who the salesperson is at the time, so it seems to be YC policy. Please reconsider this overbearing used-car-like sales policy! Undoubtedly it's hurting and not helping your sales.

Please be very carefull with any oil burners as one of mine set on fire last week and I now have third degree burns on my hand and arm that will leave a very nasty scar.. I have emailed the company 11 days ago after it happened and I have had no reply its terrible.

I have bought several candles for myself this Christmas season. The candles purchased wburn nicely but refuse to burn when 3/4 gone. I have all these candles that are unusable. I wanted to notify you that I have a big issue with your manager in your kitchener store store. My daughter works for your company and she is being verbal bashed by your manager and I don't like that!!!!! She is being called stupid!!!! And she is telling the other employee's she's a bad influence. Why because my daughter wants to build a working relationship to make a friendlier atmosphere in the work place. The manager also told them what ever she says its her way or the highway,regardless of what the work manual and the trainer showed them.She also informed my daughter she can't go in or call in to get her schedule??????How is she suppose to know when she works????Im getting sick and tired Im beginning to think law suite.
And to top things off,I thought I would see what kind of person she is,I went into the store. For that reason and because my yankee candle ran out and I wanted to buy another of my favorite candles.
As a previous manger at several establishments. I was as well as other customers ignored by the manager who was busy talking to the only other employee,there was boxes stacked from wall to wall. And when I finally got her attention with a question she talked my ear off about her training(who cares I wanted to know about the product)and then she was pushing the luma lid till she basically forced me out of the store. As i looked back she continued to socialize with the other employee while customers and stock was ignored. NOT RIGHT DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!!!!

The salesgirl at the St. Augustine, FL outlet would not stop talking to me and followed me all around the store telling me how much she hated Vero Beach and couldn't wait to move and on and on she went. My daughter and I could not wait to leave the store, we were going to buy candles but every time we touched something to look at it she would zoom in on us and tell us "that's my favorite". We just couldn't make a decision with her harping. My daughter said, "let's get out of here." It also seems to be the same procedure in Vero Beach, FL. The salesgirls there all tell us "it's my favorite" no matter what you look at. I would rather buy Yankee candles from TJMaxx or Homegoods.

7/8/2011 The Yankee Candle Co. Inc. - Whent to the store at Pier Park in Panama City
Whent to the store at Pier Park in Panama City Beach to exchange a candle I had purchased the prior week ... Paid full price as I did not have a coupon. Got home a decided I did not like the scent but never burned it at all. Took it back to the store to get a credit and exchange To use a coupon i had to save $1o of one of the five new fall fragrances. The sales lady at the sore would not let me use the coupon unless I exchange the one I purchase at regular price for another regular priced candle of equal value. She said I had to do this in order to use the coupon on another candle the coupon was good for. This did not set well with me at all. I have been buying Yankee Candles for years and never experience this kind of customer service treatment at any of your stores.
