11/28/2013 Verizon (land line) - I called yesterday about no service and of course
I called yesterday about no service and of course they said call back tomorrow morning which is Thanksgiving so I said they will do nothing on a holiday of course that is exactly what happened.
They cannot get a service person till Monday.
As a customer of Verizon from day one I do not appreciate there run around.
I asked to discontinue my service and they give me to a line that says It's Thanksgiving we are closed.
Typical of Verizon.

10/3/2013 Verizon (land line) - I recently moved and wanted to switch my old
I recently moved and wanted to switch my old number to my new address since I would be living in the same town, The tech sent to activate the phone at my new address was amazing and really went over board to explain what he was doing. Both he and his supervisor were amazing wish there was a way to give them a few additional stars. THANKS again to Rick and Tony.

9/4/2013 Verizon (land line) - AT&T customer and now I want to change to Verizon
I have been an AT&T customer since Bell South. I would like to change now if I could find a better one. For 2 months my phone has worked about a third of the time. I have called numerous times to report the problem and have not seen a repair man yet. I can never get to talk to anyone, just the automated service which tells me they cannot find a problem in their lines. I have bought new phones, new lines, and new phone jacks and it is the same. There is no dial tone to the box entering the house. I pay $9.99 for caller ID and do not get it anymore. I am at wits end and do not know what to do.

8/9/2013 Verizon (land line) - verizon is more interested in spying on you for the government
verizon is more interested in spying on you for the g'vt then providing the service that you pay them for. i lost my phone service this morning and when i used a friends phone about 20miles away i was told i would have to call them from the phone that was affected. i'd like to know how that can happen when it doesnt work! after debating with them for 45 minutes i got my point across and was then told they would be here in 7 days to fix the problem. from their actions they are more interested in your money then providing the service that you are paying them for. i know i live in a very rural area but jeeez dont i pay the same rates as everyone else and therefore shouldnt i expect the same level of service. maybe if i lived in a city then i could have phone service in a few hours rather then in a week. they actually dont care about the little man. i hear lots of talk about cell phone service but the problem with that is there is no cell service where i live, lots of ppl have been here and checked with no service available no matter what carrier it was.

7/16/2013 Verizon (land line) - I have been trying for one month to get Verizon to
I have been trying for one month to get Verizon to move wires on the back of my home so contractors can finish my deck. I was told this job belongs to the engineering department, but they can not be contacted. You have to call the repair department and put a ticket in. Then you wait a day or two, and no response, you call back and nobody can find the ticket number. I would not use Verizon if they paid me to.

World's worst company. Can't fix service problems, can't fix billing problems without turning to the NYS public service commission. Avoid this company!

Read fcc.gov May 10, 2013.

We pay every bit of taxes, surcharges, fees, etc and
expect 100% all around service. Copper may have become
expensive to maintain; but, it certainly shines much
better than FIOS (temporary battery operated back-up)
during power outages caused by storms.

Unfortunately, Verizon is definitely phasing out landline
service and forcing customers to upgrade to FIOS. Why?
Deceiving customers is a primary rule to an increased
market (compensation based on shares). Monopoly-Duopoly.
