2/8/2016 Verizon DSL - My wireless signal had been stopping
My wireless signal had been stopping intermittently, sometimes for minutes, sometimes for an hour. I had an old modem and new router.

I spent a great deal of time on the phone with an agent who was difficult to understand. However after several 'I'll be back with you in a minute' it was determined I needed a new modem. No problem - We have one for $34 and
some change would you like to buy it - yes. I will transfer you. When the transfer took place the original agent gave the new agent my telephone number. The new agent asked again for my telephone number. When I asked her what the final price would be she didn't know - I will be back with you - I gave up. She was not easy to communicate with either.

Called later only to buy what was called a modem/router.'Agent' seem to have no idea what I was talking about. Gave up again.

Went to Best Buy the next day and bought an ActionTec modem/router - installed it in 10 minutes - service has return to very good. .

12/1/2015 Verizon DSL dismal customer service ratings
I give a 1 because I can't give a 1/2 star or a dismal rating or a -1 star you get the idea. I have been working with the folks with an east Indian accent now for at least 3-1/2 weeks. On Tuesday before Thanksgiving they assured me that there was no technician available that I would have to wait until the Monday after Thanksgiving guess what nobody showed. I have an old card from a technician that supported me about a year or two ago. I tried him last week looks like not much happened. I am supposed to have 5-7 Mbps I am getting less than half down load and about 2/3 upload speeds. There is nobody else in my area and I live in a well-established neighborhood that they are not going to run FIOS to anytime soon. If you are considering DSL from Verizon please reconsider save yourself some headache and frustration.

Verizon DSL services doesn't work most of the time; it declines; however the monthly price continues to rise. We're up to $49.99 per month and the service sucks! All they want to do when you call for help is "upgrade" service. Well, FIOS is not available in my area and I'm told the most I can get is 1MBPS. So what can I upgrade to?? Another company seems to be my only option! I'm paying for service that rarely works! Numerous calls and complaints and my issues are not resolved!

4/24/2014 Verizon DSL - Why am I paying Verizon $26.99 per month for a DSL
Why am I paying Verizon $26.99 per month for a DSL of "Up to 1MBS" when I am only getting .75MBS download and .13MBS upload 99% of the time? The way I look at this is I should only be paying Verizon 3/4 of $26.99, which is $20.25 per month. Sounds fair to me. Oh, I also use your land line and cell phone service which is another $127 per month! Let me investigate another service in my area. Please respond Verizon!

Verizon is the worst DSL to have, nobody is so slow. They claim up to 15MBPS. I just tested mine. It was .63mbps download and .27mbps upload. Netflixs rarely works. I only am bothering writing a comment hoping to save others from this horrible service.

Internet's been really slow lately. I bought the package for 5-7mbps but I only recieve 3.0-3.5mbps. It's been a week that the speed would decrease to an average of 0.6-07mbps. Now I have to search the number and call them again.
