4/12/2012 I agree that this company sucks. I'm trying to get my pension. I started this process over a month ago and all I get is we are still working on getting documentation. I worked for Hancock over 10 years. Our office in Atlanta closed in 1995. Why is there a problem getting the figures to calculate my pension. I can not get anyone to call me regarding the problem. This is bad business.

4/2/2012 All I have to say is this company sucks and have the worst customer service ever! My father passed away in Sept 2011 and had grandchildren listed as beneficiaries, who have yet to recieve any payments. All I get is put on hold and saying we need to provide something else, but they never call me to tell me they need something else. They wait for you to call so they can put you on hold. For anyone looking for a company to open policies up don't use this one. I have been doing some digging on the company and see that they have one all of these awards, I honestly do not know how!

2/22/2012 Dear Webmaster, I have tried several times to contact you, but half way thru my letter my computer freezes up! If you could please call me or write me back. It concerns a policy that my husband and I acquired 40 years ago when we were married. (March 4, 1972) We paid the premiums thru direct checking or maail, but a problem has come up with the one for me. Thank you

1/5/2012 It is a shocking realization that in this day and age, the year 2012 in the 21st century, one cannot pay premiums with a credit card, either by phone or on-line. They only accept checks, or one has to set up an automatic payment system through one's bank account. I asked a customer service agent why one is not permitted to pay by credit card. The answer was that the fee charged by the credit card company against John Hancock was too large. I then asked why the consumer would not have the option of using a credit card if that consumer was willing to pay the fee. I received no credible answer. The only answer was circular logic --- the answer was that it was against their policy. Shame, shame on John Hancock. Their Financial officer must either be senile or have dementia!!!

11/14/2011 who at john hancock would I address questions regarding life ins policies purchased back in the 70s. these policies remain a question between my brother who was power of attorney for my dad and myself personal rep of the estate of and john hancock. in past conversations with john hancock employees I was asked for policy #s which I did not have. my brother says they don't exist and this has also been your stance. however in the past couple months I have located old premium notices as well as old check books that these invoices were payed to you. john hancock was suppeoned over a year ago about this info and never replied. please reply. I really do not want to spend more estate monies to get answers.

9/20/2011 This company sucks! Web site is ridiculous. They need to get there act together. My company just switched over our 401k to John Hancock, and so far forms are missing or do not have appropriate information for employees to figre out how to access their 401k online. To many hoops and rings to jump thru in order to simply view your information! This is deffinetly NOT professional!

9/7/2011 Number one: Why aren't phone numbers listed on the main site. Number two: All I'm trying to do in notify John Hancock that my Mom is deceased and the month checks should be stopped. Even though she's getting checks from them, apparently she's not in their data base. What a run around, phone number after phone number. You would think that a big company would be more organized. All I can say is I'm glad I'm not invested in this company.

7/26/2011 My mother had 2 life insurance policies with John Hancock. One grandson was the beneficiary of 1 policy, and the other grandson was the beneficiary of the other policy. She passed away 5/11. All required forms were signed and sent to John Hancock to process the claims. The claims office sent the benefits of both policies to one grandson. We worked it out but this would have caused a problem if there were animosity in the family. John Hancock's letter says we hope that you are pleased with John Hancock's products and services. I don't think so
