5/20/2012 BEWARE, AFTER YOUR POPULAR MECHANICS SUBSCRIPTION ENDS, THEY WILL CLAIM THAT ITS IN THEIR AGREEMENT TO KEEP SENDING YOU THE MAGAZINE EVEN IF YOU DONT WANT IT ANYMORE. THEY WILL JUST KEEP SENDING IT AND CONTINUING TO TRY TO BILL YOU EVEN IF - YOU DONT RENEW, DONT PAY FOR A NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS. THEN THEY SEND YOU THREATENING BILL COLLECTION LETTERS. THIS IS REALLY SCUMMY AND FRAUDULENT. STAY AWAY FROM POPULAR MECHANICS! YOU CANT GET OUT OF IT.

5/20/2012 My wife ordered and paid for a subscription for HGTV magazine. She paid 15 dollars (with the said check clearing the bank). We have not received the next issue. We emailed them and they said that they did not receive the check. My wife found the check on the bank's website; she had a copy mailed to us; there are no endorsements on the check; could it be that there is some type of embezzlement going on? I'm considering writing the FBI about it because if there is crime involved here it probably involves the USPS and the banks and therefore involves federal institutions and interstate commerce.

5/19/2012 After reading some of the above comments, it appears that your company tends to bill people for magazines they did not order or renew. I am having the same problem with The Food Network Magazine. I did not renew my subscription yet continue to receive bills via mail and computer generated bills. On May 4 I contacted Food Network Magazine Customer Service by hitting the replay button at the bottom of the computer generated bill. They have yet to have the courtesy to reply to me other than to continue to send me the bills. I DO NOT want the magazine, DID NOT request renewal, and as stated by some of the other comments on this page, will NEVER ORDER another magazine from your company. I requested they cease sending me any additional magazines, but they continue to send them. Honestly, I DO NOT WANT IT EVERN FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!

5/18/2012 5/17/12: Once a telephone number was found among the many, many, e-mail directions, etc. I receive a prompt answer to my question of when I receive my Good Housekeeping. Also was able stop the many mail subscription adds that we receive frequently. Thanks.

5/14/2012 I just called the above ph#, as the website requires an acct# to get a hold of someone. I was able to get my issue resolved. Thanks for this information! By the way, I have never had any "scam" type issues with this company, so those of you that are, I think there must be something else going on. Good luck!

5/12/2012 HELP PLEASE! I just started receiving the O Oprah Magazine and I DID NOT subscribe to it, nor do I have any interest in the magazine. I need to cancel the subscription ASAP as I refuse to pay for this ridiculous magazine!

5/10/2012 I also paid for HGTV magazine in January and only received one copy. Now they say they don'ofhave a subscrption for me and they want proof of payment. This all sounds like a big scam! Maybe the Better Business bureau is the answer. Why would HGTV get involved with this kind of service?

5/7/2012 5/12/12 Have been receiving threatining notices. Have not had an magazine, Coountry Living or Elle Decor for a long time, yet you say I re-signed. We go away in the winter, and you cannot keep up with address changes, so I cancelled both subscriptions, even though I keep receiving the threatining letters

5/1/2012 Hi, My kid processed an order for th Elle Magazine wich obviously I dint authorized. I just called them to the 1-800-888-2665 number, since it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to cancel trough the page. A girl named Tine received my call, and said my order didn't appear in th system, so I should wait from 24 to 48 hours, and after that they will cancel th order and give me my reimbursement. Im really concerned about this, after reading all this comments. Im located in Colombia, and just th shipping was like 150 dollars for a two years subscription!!!! Thats more expensive than th magazine itself. It has been only like 2 hours, and already a nightmare.
