5/3/2012 After being on hold for 35 minutes to report a lost money order I was told that you can not put a stop payment on a lost money order despite having the serial numbers. So I have found out that you send in a claim ticket with $15 in order for Moneygram to, more than likely, send me a letter stating that someone has cashed your money order and you are screwed. If I purchased the money order and it was stolen I should have the right to stop payment, then submit my claim ticket and after investigation be refunded the money during the 30 or 63 days. I will NEVER use Moneygram again for my money orders. The customer service is horrible stating over and over "Moneygram has an obligation". Well, the customer has an obligation to report stolen money order and prevent someone from profiting. Moneygram, in other words, supports thieves. Way to go Moneygram.

3/12/2012 do not use money gram they are a scam they took money from us and the people that recieved it said they didnt cash the money gram we called money gram to find out who cashed it money gram said we have to pay them 45 to find out who cashed it we only paid twenty five dollars for the money gram now were out twenty five dollars it was a walmart money gram so dont use the use them they are frauds someone is pocketing the money

2/29/2012 I was able to get through to a live person by continuing to press "0" many times, even though the automated system told me several times that it "didn't understand" or my selection was invalid or something to that effect. But even after I got through to a real person I didn't get any real help. I was trying to find out how to cash a money order that was exactly one year and one day old, and the advice they gave me was useless. Now I expect I am going to have a major hassle getting this thing cashed, if I can get it at all. If I can't, $175 down the drain ... or more accurately, into MoneyGram's bank account. Which I'm sure is what they are counting on. What a ripoff!

2/29/2012 I made a mistake on my Rent money order scratched it out and put the right name on it and my landlord took it to his bank and they would not take it because it was scratched out.My angry landlord gave it back to me and I took it to Wal-Mart and they could not issue another one even though I brought it there a day age ago.I have tried to get a live person but i never got one. This is the last time I will buy a money gram. I will go the extra distance and use Western Union. This company needs to CLOSE!!!!
