5/21/2012 I cannot post anything to your website anymore because of your new rule requiring a verifiable phone number. I actually have two verifiable numbers, my home phone which I have had for nearly six years, and my cell phone number. Your system says neither can be verified. I have e-mailed you through your tech support website many times and have only gotten canned responses, none of which addresses the problem. Does anybody work at Craigslist in tech support? If so please contact me directly through my e-mail listed below and we can set up a telephone conference and work this out. Otherwise your site is of no use to me any longer. By the way, prior to this new system, I posted and sold many items on this website.

5/19/2012 ABOUT 6-8 MONTHS AGO I GOT ONE OF THOSE E[MAILS SAYING I HAD WON A MILLION DOLLARS-YOU KNOW THE KIND-SEND US XXX DOLLARS ETC,ETC. I E-MAILED BACK- ''GET AJOB'' THEY FILLED MY COMPUTER WITH ALL KINDS OF TRASH .MY GRANDSON TRIED TO FIX MY PROBLEM BY EXPLAINING ALL TO THE COMPUTER PEOPLE--BUT NOW IF I TRY TO PLACE ADS ON CRAIGSLIST I CAN NOT EVEN GET A''CODE WORD ''I'M 73-DO NOT DRIVE AND I BOUGHT MYSELF A COMPUTER TO DO MY BUYING AND SELLING.I'M I TELLING MY TROUBLES TO THE WRONG COMPANY? craigslist says they can not confirm my phone number-it is a the # I have had for the past 20-30 years!

5/18/2012 I posted my ad 3-4 times trying to sell my truck and after everything was verified I Can NOT find my posting anywhere. I tried following all ways to narrow it down and nothig. OMG I cant talk to nobody and nobody can find my listing. craigslist is OVERATED!!!

5/18/2012 I posted on tues & an hr after posting I received a text msg from a guy saying his name was David but than u call his voicemail & it was Anthony. Scam, he sent me a bank certified check for 3 times the amount & than wanted me to pay the shippers to come pick up the item. BEWARE of this scammer!

5/17/2012 I recently posted an ad for a roommate in my apartment and have received about a dozen replies from"students", or "professionals", who all claim to be from international locales & claiming they want to rent my extra bedroom, but that they would have their dad, mom, stepdad, employer, or client mail me a check for the rent & security deposit & to please hold the property until they arrived in the states. The 1st one I went along with. She claimed to be a student from China, who had an American stepdad who owned a USA biz & she wanted to rent for 6 months. After giving her my mailing address, I received a check for $3850 for the rent + security deposit. She emailed me that I should send $1000 of the money to her travel agent in Texas so they could arrange her flight from China. It might have worked if the check had cleared, but my bank told me the check was fraudulent. It was a Florida based business check signed by an ex employee of the company who apparently stole some checks prior to being fired. It was sent overnight mail USPS. Return address spring TX, mailed to me in ft worth TX, but the postage mark was san Francisco ca. GO FIGURE. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. I can't get anyone from CL on the phone although I've emailed customer service twice and tried calling toll free number. I've gotten at least 15 more replies to my ad from people trying the same thing again and I can't even remove my ad from CL for 45 days so it will stop. These people should be arrested. Help me if you know how @

5/17/2012 I posted an add and have not gotten an email back from CL. My husband responded to my add as well as some friends to test it and nothing got to me. I emailed the technical support 3 times and got no help except very generic automated message replying to my email. This is my first time using CL and probably the last.

5/15/2012 CRAISLIST LIKE OUR GOV'T ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS. CANNOT GET HOLD OF ANYONE. I HAVE LOST MONEY USING MY CREDIT CARD AND NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY. I PAID FOR SOMETHING AND NEVER GOT THE SERVICE FROM CRAIGLIST. WHAT THE MFG OWNERS HIDING FOR. LOOKS LIKE THEY ENJOY SCREWING PEOPLE OVER. UNLESS U USE FREE STUFF. DONT PAY FOR ANYTHING. HE SHOULD BE ARRESTED LIKE MURDOFF WAS. SCAM AND TAKES MONEY WITHOUT GIVING U SERVICE

5/14/2012 There is no way to get ahold of Customer Support. The online help request form is a joke, and the Help Desk Forum is full of inconsiderate people; many of whom post anonymously. What's the purpose of requiring Phone Verification to post an ad if you allow users to post anonymously or to be unregistered? Makes no sense to me. Yet Craigslist was founded by and is run by hippies.

5/10/2012 5/10/12. I was able to publish my ad, but when I went to edit and make a change, it told me "my used account requires phone verification". I did this and got the message "Your phone number could not be verified. Please start over with another number". Problem is the number I used WAS my phone number - have had for 15 years, it is a land-line, and I live in California!!! I cannot do anything with my ad, including canceling it. BIG PROBLEM!!!!
