You are the only utility co that I deal with on rental properties that charges a fee just to change from last renter's name to mine so that power remains on in the house. Wonder why that is the case? Piedmont Gas always had my old acoount number ready to move it into until the next tenant moves in.

I live in Brickshire in New Kent County, VA. We have so many power outages, I really wish I had a choice to go to another company. You folks really need to get your act together. Even with a 10 mph wind or so we are getting outages. Not having wires run through tree branches would be one of my suggestions! Thank you!

There is help available to keep the power costs down. The power companies do not listen well. I am representing a new fuel product that reduces fuel use and save money where oil type fuels are used. So when help is available it is a hard sell. The companies can keep the costs down, but helping them to do so is like pulling hens teeth.

I want to show my appreciation to Dominion power. They work very hard and under very difficult bad weather conditions risking their lives. My Electric bill has gone down an is less than it was 20 years ago. I insulated my attic from 2 inches to over 8 inches. Replaced all my windows with new double pane thermal insulated units. Changed my bulbs out with compact florescence and LED bulbs. Insulated cracks and crevices and turned down my heat by 2 deg. Not all at once, just a little improvement each year adds up. Your power company may help with ideas for you, but most solutions are common sense, (Not so common now days), Up grades can be costly, but they pay for them selves over time. And remember, turn down the temp, replace lights one at a time and insulate are easy first steps. And Thanks Dominion, I know you are restoring power for many people and in a priority order under less than ideal conditions.

Can somebody please tell us all how do we break the monopoly that dominion V.A. power has in our state. In a peariod of less than 3 years our ouwer bill has gone from just over 100$ a month to over 250. It was 140 then 169 then 189 and now 252. I'm not using any more elictricity than I was three years ago. The more I pay the more they raise the bill. I'm on the budget plan and became so because of the outragous bills they were charging me. Now every time I agree to pay more they raise my budget amount more and more. My total current charges for august were over 300$. It's impossible for two people who are never home to burn 300$ in electricity in one month. Th rst thing is that we have no choice but to pay it and pray for change. We have no control. Turn off lights, keep the doors closed, even unplugging cell phone chargers. Nothing changes except the bill and not in the right direction, It only climbs higher. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I thought they made it illegal many years ago to have a monopoly! That is exactly what dominion has in VA. We have to get orginized and petition the gov't to do something about this! Another thing is that I make less now than I did three years ago, and my bill is 150$ more. We have to stand and fight together. I'm wrighting a letter to Bob Mcdonald and president Obama I suggest all of you do the same. Something has to change immedietly Matt

I have power all around my house, just not at mt house. I cut trees off the power lines to make things faster and what do I get a message saying my power is on twice while I still have broken power lines down. I wwould really like to know why the area that I live in in New Kent is one of the last places that power is restored to. This has happened in every major outage for 15 years.

I appreciate the difficulties that DOM must be facing with the aftermath of Irene. I do not understand why they continue to have no real idea when power will be restored to our area. I have livestock and we are about to run out of water for them. It is impossible to plan without some idea of when we might expect lights again. Today is Friday, if it won't be until next Tuesday, then say so, so I can decide what to do in the interim. I can't behave this way in my job. I feel that I have been patient for a week with daily false reports and it is undermining my confidence in DOM. My power bills are routinely over $250 monthly and I do wish there was another company to choose from now. It is terrible PR to consistently mislead your customers, even if it is a result of a weather emergency. DOM needs better data reports from the field. I even went to the people that were working in my area and asked them and they were contracted for a piece of the work and did not know when our lights would be restored. This has been very stressful, and somewhat demoralizing to me, my fiance and my teenage daughter.
