5/23/2012 Just wrote a check at an Ingles grocery store for 158.78. This was last Friday. Today, I went into the same store and picked up a few things that I had forgotten on the past trip. I got up to line and the total was only $40....I had to wait, make everyone else wait, the manager didn't say a word to me, he just gave me a telephone number which, of course, was a recording asking for my merchant number??? I called my bank, the cash was there, but I had to get embarrased and treated like a criminal ( and I work for the police department). Still no answer to why I had to leave my groceries behind, but lots of embarrasment to last a lifetime. I am so angry right now!

5/21/2012 5/21/2012 wrote a check to walmart on 4/27/2012. my fault it didnt go thew for got about a nother bill.then it take them 2 weeks to send it thew. and it cleared, now to day they send the reture fee thew for 35,00 and guess what I did not have enough money in there to cover it. so now i have to pay my back 35.00 and when i talked to them they said they would take it out again.... and i said when and they said we dont know. I am not saying i shouldnt have to pay it. I am saying they should let you know when they are going to take that out. they are a very rude Company,

5/18/2012 Telechex is a big ass rip off. Government officials should monitor these crooks. Let's petition legislation to get rid of these big scam artists!!!!!!

5/16/2012 Try 888-288-0131. We still had to go thru the usual info stuff. But, then we asked to speak to a supervisor, who actually spoke English! Our check number at the bottom on our new checks is a bit different, so he supposedly "fixed it" in the computer. We'd been told this story 3 times this week already, so I'm not sure I wish to go thru the embarrassment again. We went to the bank, got cash, and ordered a debit card. It sure seems easier, because the check thing makes you feel like a criminal, even when you have money. Our credit score is an 8.2, and we'd prefer to keep it that way!

5/15/2012 This is in response to Larry's comment on 03-29-2012 concerning using their ATM debit card instead of a check. I had an incident concerning my debit card in which the number was stolen and a total of $500.00 was taken from my account (I fould out I was not the only individual at my banking establishment this happened to). Because of the fraud, my debit card was automatically cancelled and I had to wait 30 days before I was issued another debit card. So, believe it or not Larry, the majority of us DO have brains and would prefer to write a check rather than using our ATM cards and having the account number swiped. Quite frankly, at this stage of the game, I am using cash only. I think the old term is "once bitten, twice shy."

5/14/2012 I received a notice that my $10.07 check to Wal-mart was sent to TeleCheck for collection, along with a $30.00 service charge from TeleCheck. I checked my recent bank statement and found that my check had cleared 2 days after submitting it to WalMart for payment. With a credit score of 829 I do not wish to be in the Tele-check system for any reason. This is a very serious black mark. I know that I will no longer be doing business with Wal-Mart since they are unwilling to help clear my credit record. My bank has to write a letter verifying that this check cleared. I feel the only way to get this type of treatment resolved is to turn all of the information over to our PA State Attorney General for investigation of Wal-Mart, and the way they do business. I urge anyone who has had this problem to do the same. It is a pain to spent the time to get get justice, but, obviously, those investigations will make Wal-Mart realize that the system needs fixed.

5/12/2012 I am quoting from letters printed here. They all suggest the workings of a company that perhaps started out well-intentioned to prevent fraud, but then has become fraudulent itself by victimizing and stigmatizing innocent, honest people. H E L P U R G E N T!!! I cannot reach a 'WARM BODY' to address my problem and nothing on the menus addresses my problem. There is no way to speak to a live person, and the phone system just wastes time, putting you thru the same loop asking for the same numbers you've already put in, repeatedly. I have [$2500 in my account]. My check [for $20] was declined at [Food Lion]. Then, substituting a check from my roommate, his check was declined also, and he had just confirmed the balance from his bank. You are right the telecheck service STINKS!!!! I am finding this scary. It appears that I will have to do all my business going to the bank (since my bank will honor my checks) and then I'll have to pay merchants with cash. I will take larry's suggestion of 3/29 by also getting a debit card. What inconvenience! What astounds me is that a company can profit off of faulty information, waste the consumer's time, and in some cases ruin one's reputation without any proof of wrong-doing! I consider a Telecheck black mark, an act of slander (as I've never bounced a check). We ought to be able to sue companies like that. If a lawyer wants to do a class action, count me in! George

4/11/2012 4/10/12 - H E L P U R G E N T!!! I cannot reach a 'WARM BODY' to address my problem and nothing on the menus addresses my problem. I am a retired senior and not at all acquainted with how TeleCheck does business. I need someone to call me at so I can explain my problem to them. I wrote a check ($7.00) at a Fiesta store last week and used the wrong checks not realizing it. I closed this account 2 years ago and failed to destroy all the blank checks. My present account is at the same bank as the closed account - Wells Fargo. The check I wrote will be refused of course. I have ordered new checks and will be glad to send another one that is good but know not where to send it. I am trying to catch up with the bad check and make it good and avoid a penalty. I am a retired senior living on my Social Security only. Every penny counts. If it will help anyone who would like to help me do this immediately I can give them my account number and routing number to do so. Thank you.

4/5/2012 I have $4,000.00 in my account. My check was declined at Home Depot. You are right the telecheck service STINKS!!!! THEY KEEP YOU GOING IN CIRCLES REFERRING YOU FROM ONE NUMBER TO ANOTHER ONE. I think my problem was the Home Depot cashier entered the wrong dl number she wrote on the check. It was embarrasing and scary not knowing if someone had taken my money or if it was clerical. When the cashier asked Tele Check why it was declined they said they did not know!
