5/22/2012 I too was concerned with advertisibng, but trusted USAA. That trust has come to injure me and my family as USAA unannounced, cancelled my homeowner's insurance after natural disasters out of my control caused me thousands of dollars of damages to my home in suburban Cleveland. For years, I paid all premiums, all deductibles, insured all homes and cars, and invested over 7 figures of my savings and this is the response I got when I finally had to file sizeable claims which USAA appraisers saw and valued. The representative on the phone even told me I could have foregone filing a claim as insurance was only for catastrophes. I reponded that if that was the case, why did they cover my damages. Trust is a two way street so be wary.

5/14/2012 Usaa run business like one of goverment agency. I feel like wake up after a long sleep. My husband I were usaa member over 25 years. We purchased all insurances with them, credit cards, all kind of other business. Basically, they made a lot of money on our loyal payments without fail. As like so many, we have relocated and the house is on market for sale. Since the market is slow house is not sold over 10 month. Usaa gave A Notice for cancellation on our house insurance. Without to try work out in given situation. We were never missed any payment! My h usband was furious, I called them. The Rep left message saying that will call me back. Never happens. I was in business, I could not believe how they do business. if I see a worthy good customer is running out, I do not sit like them! I wish I shopped around before do business with usaa. We are running out from them fast! Angela

5/14/2012 I have had both USAA auto insurance and credit card for many years and up until now I have had outstanding service. Lately, however, I have found when calling from a rotary phone I can't get through. The answering system goes through the message and when there is no touch-tone response, I says "thank you for calling USAA" and disconnects. Not every place has touch-tone phones, especially overseas and cell phone calls can be expensive. Does anyone know a number for USAA that does not require a touch-tone response?

4/20/2012 I could not be happier with USAA. I have home and auto insurance with them and also a credit card. When I asked them to increase the credit limit so I could buy four plane tickets to Thailand they complied over the phone and added $1,500.00 more than I asked for. They have always answered my question and always answer the phone with an agent from the United States that I can understand. I will be moving to Thailand this year and I plan on doing all of my banking through them because of their reputation among expats.

4/20/2012 I am a former member of the military and although I am not familiar with all of the inner workings of USAA, I have a grave concern for the company they are keeping. PARS, Inc. is a major hail dent repair company located in Texas and Colorado that works directly with USAA. I am a contractor with PARS, Inc. that is currently owed over $7000 for the work completed. The owner, Rick is refusing to pay for services completed and has made awful remarks to me in regards to my gender (woman). I CANNOT SUPPORT ANY BUSINESS THAT WOULD KEEP RELATIONS WITH A COMPANY THAT DISHONORS A VETERAN!!! USAA, please rethink your policies and the businesses you are having serve the military community!!

3/29/2012 I recently opened checking and savings accounts with USAA. I applied for a secured credit card and was approved. I am now trying to increase my credit limit but the computer will not let me and when I call in they say they are unable to increase it as well. Every person I speak with gives me a different answer or reason. Now I'm told the money is still being transferred to my account. WHAT? THEY have my money and it's being transferred from one of THEIR accounts to another of THEIR accounts. That makes no sense at all. I will be closing all my accounts and going to a local credit union where at least I can talk to people face to face.

3/14/2012 Between dealing with Wells Fargo, Capital One and USAA, USAA has been the better bank when dealing with loans and moving money around. I have not been in an accident for.....ever, so I can't vouch for them on taking care of claims, but as far as auto loans go, USAA is the first bank I will be looking into if I get another vehicle or another kind of loan.

3/13/2012 I've been a member since '69 and I have been growing increasingly concerned about the direction of USAA. When I first became aware of their major push into TV advertising I told my wife that it was not a good sign. Unfortunately, I was correct. They now more closely resemble BOA or Wells Fargo. I have told USAA that I will be closing my bank accounts and transferring to another insurance carrier as soon as practical. I have also told them that I do not answer calls that do not identify themselves. They pay millions for advertising but cannot afford caller id.

2/23/2012 2/23/2012 I was rear ended on freeway in Spet 2010 by a person doing 60 mph. I called USAA before I had any medical check upsor treatments to INSURE there would be no problem getting the required services for my back and neck. I had already had spine fusion surgery and this accident made it worse. A year and a half later and more telephone conversations than I can count, USAA is still giving me the runaround and has not paid a single bill related to my medical expenses. I am embarrassed to see my doctor! I would not recommend USAA to anyone. My husband and I have worked for the Army for a combined total of 74 years. And my husband retired from the Army. USAA's customer customer service rep told him she didn't care! Well that much is obvious. USAA does not care about its customers. I'm now looking for a lawyer.

2/14/2012 USAA has thrown bombs and roadblocks every step of the way, as we have tried to change account information, due to death. Thank God Dad is with the Lord now and can't watch this idiocy unfold. You people are doing our warriors a HUGE disservice with ignorant 'wealth managers' and unethical stalling tactics.
