5/3/2012 I have the same problem as all of you. Buzzing noise in my phone. It got fixed last week, but after 4 days, the problem is back... and worst, I'm losing dial tone from time to time, and sometimes, I'm getting 2 short rings that i cannot received any incoming call, and doesn't even show the number who's calling. And on top of it, I have to wait a week, the whole day for the repair guy to show up.They're so fast to bill you very high, and yet their service...are HORRIBLE !!! it's a shame, that we're paying for this kind of service...!!!!!!!!

4/30/2012 I am so frustrated. 2 months ago I called about a very loud buzzing sound on my line. A repair service person told me that there was a problem in the neighborhood. A few days later the technician came out and told me that it was all fixed. NO!!! The problem persists. Verizon caedls to ask how my service repair was. I told them I could barely hear them due to the buzzing sound. Their reply was " I can't hear it so there is no problem to be fixed". The sound gots worse over time and now I can't get any incoming calls. I got an old fashioned dial phone, hooked it up to the box outside and the problem still persists. Then I got a message from Verizon asking me to call them back to discuss my problem. I have listened to the message 9 times. The number they gave me is disconnected. I called repair today AGAIN and jumped through all the hoops to get the "service" department. After telling the agent the whole series of events, he replied "sorry I am with billing." ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Then he told me that the reason I have this problem is because I need to switch to FIOS! After telling him I have no intention of switching, he "transfered" me to repair. I waited 66 minutes and finally hung up. A half hour later, I tried again and got the same response and wait. How is it that they are allowed to collect our money and get away with not providing the service. I would switch to another company but I will be moving soon. I tried filling a repair over the internet but I get a message that my browser does not support Verizon. Tried others with now luck. Anyone out there have any suggestions?

4/19/2012 Discovered the phone was dead tonight. No dial tone. No battery present on the line. Checked from the demarc ( box on the wall of your house ) same issues. Likely open pair. Opened a ticket with Verizon and discovered the earliest a tech will be dispatched out to discover what I already know is a WEEK. A WEEK. This is what a Monopoly can do for you :D

3/31/2012 My home phone has not worked in over two weeks. It has a high noise level on the line which is coming from a source outside my home. Verizon schedualed a service call for 27 Mar 2012, but no one called me or showed up at my home during that schedualed 12 hour window.

3/29/2012 25 years at the same home in the country. Phone is out at least three times a year, last year 5 times. I recieved today the same arrogant phone technician. "I will send a repair man to your home to meet with you." Meet with me for what? It is the same old storey every time. If they will only check their records, they will learn it is on the line outside my home. The same goofy statement each and every time. But, they will waste their time and my time with a door hanger telling me they visisted and no one answered and not repair the line. Help. They are too big to care any longer.

3/17/2012 It amazes me that when the repair guys are working on the lines about a 1/2 mile from my home, "they' knock out our service, and "you" as the consumer have to go through the hoops of calling and trying to have someone come out and fix their problem. I was given one date of repair and as of evening still have no phone, I called and " he said I am sorry you were given wrong information, but we are planning to be out tommrow between 8-3pm when it suppose ot be 8-11am, he could tell I was a piss puppy so who knows if they come early or late, needless to say its a shame that you cannot get the service that you want when you need it, after you pay your bill ontime. I guess it is the opposite for them you get it when "they feel like it".

3/16/2012 I agree that the online "troubleshooter" isn't worth a wooden nickel. However, I got a human being on the phone by calling 1-800-837-4966 -- as soon as you speak your telephone number and the 'automated person' says "ok", quickly dial 00 and you will get an agent. I was connected to an agent with no waiting and was able to report my problem. The agent indicated that she'd notify repair and the issue would be corrected today.
