7/12/2010 I sold Avon for over five years and I wasn't aware that as a Avon rep. I would have to pay gross reciept tax. Now I an being sent leters from the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue saying I owe x-amount in gross reciept tax. If any other Avon rep. has encountered this problem or know what I can do in regards to this problem, I would really like to hear from you. Desperate in New Mexico.

7/5/2010 I have been selling AVON for about two years, and on occasion, I run into back orders or discontinued items, but I feel like many of the complaints from customers in this feed are about their representatives. AVON reps are independent sales contractors. Avon simply supplies the product, not the customer service. That being said, as a representative, my problem is that they guarantee a 100% refund/return policy, but it is incorrect. I tried to send back a bunch of undergarments a client ordered- she was not sure what sized she would need, and then decided to return the ones that didn't fit. Logical, right? Except that AVON only covered a fraction of my earnings, and not what the client paid because the packages had been opened. Then, all the money from the return went to the shipping fee. I ended up not sending them back and donating them to good will because it seemed pointless.

7/3/2010 When you purchase Avon stuff, from someone thats who you are buying from. Not the company itself. For those of you that have gotten scammed or screwed out of money from someone. I suggset you get copys of the receipts. And make sure you have there number and all their contact info in order to complain to the company. If you order directly off the site, its less of a hassle dealing with middle men. And just to let you guys know, Avon has a policy if your not a 100 percent satisfied with your prodoct you are entitled to getting a full refund for the purchase amount.
