I just moved to NY and I rely on an ISDN (Integrated Service Data Network) circuit for my business. I ordered it April 14th, it was installed June 17th, and they couldn't get it working until the end of July. When I didn't pay the June-July bill (after a service tech notified Verizon's billing office that I had not had any service for that period) they disconnected the service for failure to pay. Of course, they forgot to notify me. I called repair service to report that the circuit was dead again, and they spent three days trying to find out what was wrong... nobody notified them of the disconnect either! During one of my multi-hour tours of Verizon's internal phone network I reached a billing department by mistake, which is when I learned of the disconnect. Rather than fight on principle, I paid the bill so I could get back to work quickly. It was not restored in 24 hours as promised. It took three full days, and then was disconnected again a few hours later. Why? Nobody knows, but it'll be another day before it's turned back on. Sure wish I could "take it to the competition"... But for small business ISDN, there is no alternative!

I have been trying for days to contact these folks about my closed account ( I moved out of the state last month). It has been like a dog chasing it's tail trying to get any help. They just billed me again but tell me I have a credit! I had a bundle and apparently they did not pay Direct TV their portion even tho they say they "think so", "We will put you throught to financial services" and it goes right back to the phone tree and after that they tell me they are too busy and to call back later. Who do they HIRE? I do not believe they hire anyone with any sense or else they have no training. this is what it has all become...there is no customer service anymore.

Customer Service Died with Verizon. I have never been so disappointed, I have been held captive by the company that I keep in business! Verizon should be ashamed of not training the people they hire. It is insipid. I have not had service in my home for over 30 days, yet Verizon is still billing me. I have been hung up on after being placed on hold. Verizon, needs to get help. And there is no customer service person to report this to only as comment box. I will be selling my Verizon stock and advising my friends to do the same.

With regard to all of the complaints...sad but true. To cancel your landline with Verizon is to find peace :) I agree that some of the millions (paid by us) should be disbursed to customer service training (for us)! Maybe Verizon will get it when there are fewer of us.

Just got ahold of Frontier 877-462-8188 (for my Verizon landline in Indiana; regarding a downed line)- a real person yay!!! I did this by punching 0 repeatedly (probably 15 times!). HEADS UP......Frontier agent told me that all I had to do was say "agent" to the automated system and a real live agent would answer- this was a shortcut she said "they" had discovered.

I have to laugh at all of the comments. They are all so very true. You would think that something would be done about all the service problems with Verizon. We had our phone line go out when one of my siblings died. Repair told us that it would be a week before anyone could come out. They have a service center located approximately six miles from where we live. That was the limit. We have filed a complaint with the FCC. Whether or not that matters to Verizon who knows. Maybe if enough people filed complaints with the FCC a class-action suit could be started. I think Verizon should have to provide one month of uninterrupted phone service for time a repair is reported and not handled satisfactorily within a 24 hour period plus fined $35,000 for each incident reported to the FCC and Better Business Bureau. I just had someone in the customer relations department give me the general email address to the customer relations department and the email I sent was returned as a failure notice because of 'user unknown'. I called Verizon to get the email address and the person I finally spoke with could not find an email address to the customer relations so he gave me his boss's email address. Guess what? It was returned as well. No surprise here. Verizon is like a bad restaurant that people keep going to just to get sick. PM

For some reason I have voice mail attched to my phone now and I never ordered it. I was also billed for last month in additoin to this month even though they cashed my check a week before the bill was due. My DSL has been down every weekend for 3 weeks. I am so pissed off I am canceling my land line now.

verizon sucks all they do is steal and lie no matter what the position is. I do not understand why the people cannot just do the #### job and be done. If that were to happen customers would not keep calling back cusing them out or making nasty comments. Does the company need to go out of the country to learn decent customer service
