SouthBay Mercedes Benz has the worst customer service. I will never go back there ALL THEY WANT IS TO SUCK YOUR MONEY. Ever since Mercedes mergerd with the Crysler, the cars and the customer services really gone bad!! I mean really bad. I love what I am driving now which is BMW 750. the car is great no problems, the customer service is Excellent. They always treat their customers with respect and making sure that their customers are always HAPPY!! and that's what MBUSA should learn.

Mercedes Benz USA I am writing to express a complaint regarding my 2008 350 CLK. In 2007 I leased my car from the South Bay Mercedes Benz dealer in Los Angeles. After 3 year my lease was over in August of this year. A week before the due date I got the DMV registration notice in the mail. I didn't pay any fees thinking that I would return it next week. When I went to the dealer to return the car and the key, the gentleman who helped signing the papers said he would not be able to ground the car unless I take care of the sticker and registration I said why should I pay for something that I don't own it anymore he said that's the way it is we can't take this car back until you pay the DMV. I walked to the DMV the next day and purchased the sticker and paid $560.00 came back to the dealer the same day. Then the same gentleman said oh no per Ms. Evergreen (which I think she is the lease specialist) told him that I am not responsible for the sticker and just to verify that he even called the 800 for the lease department right in front of me and ask them the same question if I am responsible for the sticker the lady on the other side of phone said no I am not. I told him well now it is too late I already bought the sticker then he said take it back to DMV and see if they take it back. Again, the day next I walked back to the DMV and they said no, the are not refunding my money it is the dealer responsibility so I went back to the dealer and told them the story. The gentleman got a copy of my sticker and the receipt that I paid for and he said he would ask the general manager and would get back to me. I got a phone message from the general manager Mr. Alfonso that he is not responsible take it back to the DMV. Once more, I walked to the DMV office they said try filling this form and mail it the Sacramento office. Now, after 2 months I got a letter from the DMV stating that they are not refunding my money and the matter should be between the buyer and the seller. If you would like to, I can fax you a copy of the letter. Throughout my lease years, I had some good and bad experiences and one of the other bad example is I was getting phone calls right before my lease was over to bring my car for final inspection and every time I was going there no one was available and the 3rd time I even stayed there for about 20 minutes and I finally got up and asked the receptionist that I have an appointment with Ms. Evergreen and she said oh we are sorry she is gone for the day and I said what nobody told me is there anyone else who can help I noticed that everyone was busy running around and since it was not a sale to them so no one was interested to do the simple job and finally after another 15 min. the receptionist asked a gentleman to do an inspection. My complaint is that the South Bay dealer is fully responsible for the refund and all this wouldn’t have happened if that gentleman knew how to handle it I understand It was just a simple misunderstand and miscommunication. The reason I say it is the dealer‘s responsibility because right in front of me he called to verify and he was told that I wasn’t so I don’t know why now they are saying that they are not. I am coming to you with lots of hope since you are the only one left to help so please try to get them to pay my money back. I am beginning to feel that Mercedes Benz does not value its customers but the company is only concerned with making a profit.
