5/14/2012 For one, i see all of these extra charges on my bill and they tell me its so that they can build a nuclear plant. i already have enough trouble paying my own damn bill so who are they to just be adding charges to my bill. Did they ask me if i wanted to contribute to the building of this nuclear power plant?? NO, they should use there own money since it was their idea and their power plant. Maybe they should be using some of the money they got from the government for their bailout, cause i sure as hell didnt get a bailout!!!!!!!!

4/17/2012 Georgia power charges its customers a monthly fee so they can build their over priced nuclear plant. If the customer pays to build the plant, shouldn't the customer also get some of the profits? The truth is gp hates their customers so they have jacked up prices when compared to Walton and jackson. They also outsource their billing to bill matrix which charges $6 to make a payment over the phone. Gp is lucky that their customers have no other choice except to use them. If they didn't have a monopoly control on the market they would have no customers. The people who regulate this MONOPOLY are just as crooked as the crooks at Georgia power.

3/29/2012 Is there another gas company I can switch to? I have paid my bills none stop yet still receiving late fees. That's bull s*** y'all are huge rip off. Yestoday, I paid my bills for this month and next months charges and your staff can find my payment. Ps thanks for hanging up on me, great coustumer service.

1/29/2012 Today is January 29, 2012. I have complained many times that you can not get a bill out to me untill the NEXT month for the previous month then enjoy charging a late fee. No one has an answer as to why your company does this! However I do! It's so you can charge us and make our payment history bad. I for one am very tired of this. I don't have the money for your company's games. This is a request AGAIN for you people to help get the bills out at the right time so I can pay my bill. Copy of this is being sent to the BBB. 1/27/2012 The people that owns this company does not realize that there are hard working people that work daily to provide for their family and not just to pay a light bill! Occurrences happen where there might be late payments but i am sure for those that work within this has never been an issue(hint)! I would like to see ga power give us a break! I sometimes owe them my whole paycheck but i have 2 children so..... Even if you unplug and turn off everything in your home you will be charged! That has been tried tested and proven true!! Outraged customer!

12/5/2011 It seems like ya'll been blaming the Georgia power , but the truth is who ever in charge plus those behind the desk are the main point.... you see , when they are in need once, they expect twice under the table from you, which mean 50/40 , 50 to Georgia power and 40 in their pockets , so for me ,I'll blame on them individually....

10/25/2011 This company is a piece of xxxx... When I moved into my apartment they told me that my lights will be on. When i got to the apartment to start moving the lights were off. I called them and they had us check the breaker box several times,but come to find out our box had a yellow tag on it. So I called back and told them and they were trying to say that it was my complex error, So I had maintenabce to come out at 2 o'clock in the morning only to find out that georgia power made the error and they had to come out and remove the tag. Then today I had the cable company to come out to cut my cable on I get a call saying my lihgts were off anf they will have to reschedule. So once again I called them and they say everything was fine on their end. I gt home from work and lights off. So I go look at the box again there goes that dam yellow tag again. So i called and they gave me my meter number and they don't match. So they tried to blame the complex again. So the guy that came out i'm trying to ask him how can their be confusion if the apt number is sitting right next to the meter he brushed me off saying he just want to see if my lihgts were off. So I went into the apt and there were on he replied with I know which one is yours now. Now isn't that some bull. I will be trying to pursue some legal actoins against them because this makes NO SENSE!!!!!!!

10/10/2011 Let me just say they're a true RIP OFF!! How about they also got bailout money from the government!!! And they over charge their own customers!! We're the same ppl that bailed them out! Somebody has to do something about these big companies with no competitors! The rip everybody off, Comcast too!! Nobody cares about the small people... But history shows they really should!! When ur top heavy sonething always tips the scale and not in a good way!

9/10/2011 I have never had my power cut off for non payment. I payed my bill late for two months but never have just not payed. Georgia Power charged me a 150.00 deposit. And then because i payed it late they charged me another 125.00 deposit!!!!! What is that? Obviously if I am paying it late it is because I am having trouble paying it!! Adding 275.00 Extra is not going to make me pay my bill on time. You would think tat in this economy they would not add that to your bill! This is crazy. Me and my husband are tryin to move and we will find a place where it does not requir us to have Geargis Power.OH and these summer rates dont even get me started on those!!!!!

8/31/2011 The rates are exhorbant and to charge a small non profit business a larger deposit which puts them at risk in going out of business is ridiculous. 650 deposit at the onset with a 1000 limit on useage When we ran over and have to make the payments in two pieces before turn off, they want to acess another 900 deposit making the total 2143 for this month. What is left to do? Their onlly advise was to get an energy effiecient building and go out of business today. If the budget limit is 1000, why charge 2143 to balloon a deposit that cannot be paid?

8/9/2011 I find it a bit outrageous that because my fiancee and I broke up and I thought he was paying the electric bill, and when I found out he wasnt I called Georgia Power. They placed me on hold 4 times, then instructed me that even though I have lived in this state all of 4 months I would not only have to pay his past due bills but the ones since I got here, because I moved in with him. Who does that? I am not sure that this is common practice, and after they turned off my power now I am left paying $1000.00 bill which I have no means to pay for. I asked the rep to let me speak to a supervisor and her response was that " I have a large amount of calls that I must take and unfortunately I cannot get a supervisor on the phone!!" Really Lady, you just devasted my whole day and now I am paying for someone elses bill who I had no incling of how I am going to pay. I am looking into agencies and if I can find one that will help me. I will never call these people again they are pratically useless. I am glad we in the medical field have a different prospective of what is clear and reasonable. It behooves me to right this but I felt obligated to speak out on customers behalf. DT
