5/14/2012 I bought the software to do my own taxes with a promise of a $10 rebate on my purchase. Three months later and I am still waiting. Poor customer service.

5/8/2012 Received and paid for the 2011 program. Have used H and R for several years with no problem. This year, could not import 2010 , did not recognize my, or my wife's, names, could not find a contact (e mail) except this. "Free" 800 numbers are a joke! What happened to live people answering the telephone number at a reputable business? No response to my request for assistance. Perhaps this will get some attention. If I get fined for filing late, I am going to have some conversation with attorney about a suit to recover from H&R! Better hear from you folks pretty quick!

4/28/2012 On the 17th of April I paid for and tried to download H&R Block software to complete my 1040EZ tax form.I was never able to open that software. This software was a total waste of both time and money, neither of which I could afford.I was then forced to buy the software from another vendor. This software worked flawlessly, and my taxes were done within an hour. At that time I sent H&R Block an email describing my problem and requesting a refund. As of this writing, I have not heard a word from them in reply.

4/16/2012 This online product is an absolute joke. It takes 1 minute to accept your money and download the federal program. Takes about 5 minutes to complete the entire proces if you have all your documents. Then, you get to the state download.....I've been here for THREE hours trying to get the state to open so I can simply xfer the data. What in the world??? No phone number after you drop 40 bucks just a short "quick tip" that if you're using Windows Vista you must use administrator rights...........WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Why didn't these "rights" for you to take my money. Now I've been here for 3 hours and can't reach ANYONE on the phone to support this crappy purchase. Should have went to the store and bought the cd. Thanks H&R for wasting my time.

4/14/2012 H&R Block made mistakes on my ammended tax return and now i have to resend it in to the IRS and wait even longer for my refund. I am going to do it myself, but my question is am I entitled to a refund because H&R Block has a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee and I am so not satisfied. I will be pursuing legal action if I don't get this resolved to my satisfaction.

4/5/2012 I have used H&R Block as my tax preparation service and the fee for service seemed reasonable. I and my mother filed our tax returns today and the fees were exorbitantly overpriced. I am 68 years old; on a fixed retirement; have no private or commercial business; and have no real estate or stock investments other than a house in Tennessee. My mother is 92 years old with a much smaller retirement and stock investment account. I prepared a 6 page typewritten breakout of both our annual income, expenses and deductions and took them to the local H&R Block office. The forms were completed and electronically filed in 2 hours and 45 minutes for the two of us. The filing fee for me was $428 and for my mother $281. Do the math. This works out to about $275/hour. I am sending this information to the District Manager and to the Director of Customer Service at your national headquarters. Without redress and correction, our relationship and further association with H&R Block is ended and I shall notify others as widely as possible of these type of expected fees.

4/5/2012 I have been trying to resolve a tax issue in which H&R BLOCK made the mistake. This all started in 2009 return in which H&R Block made a costly mistake for me to tune of $604.00. The preparer transposed where certain figures belonged and I got an initial bill from Federal tax of $555.00. I pay extra for "PEACE OF MIND" but I always end up working things out with IRS myself during summer months. The Federal taxes owed to IRS was taken out of 2011 return for $604.00. H&R Block has informed me we have to do ammendment in which we did and mailed out approximately 2weeks ago. I called IRS and they state they made no mistake and will not be reimbursing the $604 because it was the "PREPARERS MISTAKE". I contacted on many occassions, H&R BLOCK on Harvard Ave, Brookline MA. They just rush me off the phone and say "you have to wait 6-8 weeks". I asked why and they say because IRS owes me money and not H&R Block. Can someone from your coorporate offices please contact me at. Thank you.

4/3/2012 Would you believe my son received a corrected W-2 at the first of this year and now he can't sign up for Financial Aid until it's refiled. And the bad thing is we have already filed for 2011 and this was for 2010. What can we do? I filed his taxes online 2010 and 2011, I can change the 2011, but not the 2010. Please help! Mother

3/31/2012 Hello. I am a college student filing taxes for the first time. My question is could I file my taxes on my own as an independent filer even though my parent has already claimed me as a dependent?

3/21/2012 3/21/2012 We have been going to H&R Block for three years. First year we had a problem as the tax preparer did not know how to do the injured spouse. So we went back last year and got another lady she did alright just forgot to do the work credit but she fixed it. This year the same lady royally screwed it all up. I have always got online and did the tax as far as I could go as with injured spouse you can not submit it without the form and the payment have always done it so I have a rough guess when we go into the main office to efile. Well this year supposeably IRS said there were duplicate returns which I did not do it was submitted twice through the H&R Block office. Needless to say now because of that we had to paper file and send IDs because they had it as identity fraud. I am totally pissed at H&R Block right now. They are supposeably be returning our fee of filing of 235 which I have never in all my years of filinf taxes have paid this much. I recommend no one goes to H&R Block!!!! Also they are telling us that the 235.00 fee will be mailed in 6 -18 weeks for real but you want your money right away well so do we!!!!!
