5/23/2012 I have to agree with all the negative comments. My bank was sold to another bank so I'm trying to update my information for auto payment. I can't log on because my user ID and password won't work. I tried to retrieve them and can't, so I finally found the customer service number and called that. Guess what I can't talk to a live person until I provide the automated system my account number, balance due and some other informaiton from the bill. I haven't seen a bill from ATT in over 4 years, paper or email. They don't even send me an email informaing me the bill has been paid. the only way I know is because I can call long distance. They really suck big time. I know they have my email address because I went through this last year when my credit card was stolen. They emailed me then and informed me that I was behind in payments. I also had to deal with people who can't speak English. I've decided to pressure my local congressmen and try to get a bill introduced that would prevent utilities and banking firms from using foregin customer service. I urge every one to contact their representative and try to force some changes. I'm not in favor of government interfering with businesses but some times it's necessary. Ken

4/26/2012 i have differant people calling me advtiseing junk crap and its all crap is there anything you can do about it other than having the dam phone removed completly im getting close to that 1-number they use is -913-204-0098 2-503-468-5935-3-877-249-216 4-703-436-1288 5-800-421-0000 6-unavaillable 7-800-580-7611 8-451-000-5554 and this one 2times 703-436-1288 then a unavaillabl several more but this is bull shit to have to put up with this im getting fed up with it do something beside chargeing more you need to do more ill try fcc next

4/19/2012 On April 6, 2012 I tried to change my long distant service to another company from AT&T. The other company, CREDO got third party approval but AT&T sent the request back by using some frivolous excuse. I found out a week later when I called, AT&T had changed my long distant phone service from unlimited for $7 to 35 cent/minute and never changed the long distant to CREDO. Then when CREDO and I made a conference call to change the long distant service AGAIN, AT&T said that it had been changed on the 12th. But the next day it was taken off and I have no long distant service at all. It is now April 19, 2012 and I still have no long distant service. I spent the entire day of the 18th on the phone with AT&T and their representatives cannot speak English properly. They are located in the Philippines and do not understand English. If they can't figure out what you want, they put you on hold, hang up, transfer you to another person who does the same thing all over again. I changed my phone service to Time Warner Cable and now they say that it is being ported and they are using that as an excuse to not give me long distant service. When you get an American on AT&T, they want you to tell them that you got EXCELLENT service before they will hang up. You have to lie to get them off the phone. AT&T is the worse service of any company I have ever dealt with. The only reason why they have all the money for their ads is because they are paying foreign workers dirt cheap so they have all the money in the world. I changed my phone service to another company.

4/19/2012 4/19/2012 My story is similar to all the others. This company assured me I could set up an internet service on my own or "she would come out and install it herself." The call back number was bogus. AT&T put service active to my house for three days,never activated the internet because the connections they sent did not fit my computer. I never had the computer turned on. I called to cancel account right away, after waiting for 1 hour..no exaggeration..and being referred to people who ouright lied about what they were "doing for me" and finally after the hour, they tried to transfer me one more time and they cut me off. A dial tone! I received a bill 2 months later and called again because I was assured it was a mistake and to wait for the "final" bill next month. I waited, a new bill came, same amount, nastier than before. I called again for correction. Again I was told there was a "zero balance due bill on its way. Do yoyu know what arrived this month? That's right, a COLLECTIONS NOTICE. I UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE GET POSTAL. This company is made up of idiots and theives. Pat

4/11/2012 We will be switching from AT&T to someone else. AT&T made changes to their email servers without any knowledge of this. When I called AT&T I specifically asked if they were making changes bc I was unable to access my email. The first out of country customer service rep was not able to help me but said my email had been hacked and recommended a service plan for 15 a month. Desperate to get our email back on I agreed (affected my husbands job with our email). I said ok and was transferred to another individual who again could not fix/help with our issue. He then passed me on to a third individual. At this point it had been 1 hour and 40 minutes! Since then I have seen a few emails on my iPhone and saw an email saying they had issues, blah, blah blah...well AT&T does not inform the non us customer service reps. Of their changes. Had they done so I would have simply waited for them to resolve the issue! So now we have been without service for a day and a half and it's 8:33 at night - my husband is on hold waiting for a service rep! Update - he's recanting the situation to another rep. This should be interesting...

4/10/2012 AT&T has ROYALLY screwed me over today. I got a really good job working from home that required a land line. Since AT&T is the only game in town I guess, they are who I had to get a land line through. It has taken them 5 days to turn on a land line, only to have some "technical glitch" that came with the line that was causing it to call 911 about every other hour. Police were showing up at my door all day today, stating that they were getting 911 calls from my line. I called for repair 5 (FIVE!!!!) times today. All I got was put on hold for an average of 20 minutes each time I called. Nobody wanted to deal with the mess AT&T made of this. At one point, one of their technicians was actually working on the house NEXT to mine today. I just happened to see his truck parked out there, so I walked over and told him about it. His response was to call the repair line. When I told him the problems I was having with them, he told me, literally, "Shit happens". I called back and finally got a human and ordered an immediate disconnect. They tried to sell me of course but I wasn't having it. Oh, and the fifty dollars I paid to get the line turned on will NOT be refunded. Bear in mind, this is NOT a deposit, but an advance payment which was supposedly required by AT&T. NEVER WILL TRUST THESE BASTARDS AGAIN

4/10/2012 This is the worst. Can not call them customer service. So irritated by trying to explain to the person on the other end, who honestly I could not understand with her heavy accent.They keep overcharging me. The only thing left to do is have everything turned off. Somehow they charged me $88. for internet service. No matter how many time I try to get them to understand, they cann't. UGH. The frustration level is a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10..

4/5/2012 ATT's CUSTOMER SERVICE is the worse, which it shouldn't be called because there isn't any! When I forgot my email password and tried to get a new one, I couldn't! I went online, and answered the security questions, and then the only option available was to have the passward sent to my email address. Ah, I can't get into my email, that's why I'm doing this. They didn't list any CUSTOMER SERVICE phone numbers to call, so I had to search for one. I finally found one, and each time someone answered (after waiting 10-15 minutes), they would forward me to another person, because they said "they didn't handle that". This same scenario went on for another 4 time before I hung up. First, they need to support OUR country by hiring ONLY USA CITIZENS, who can speak CLEAR ENGLISH. Second, they need to hire MORE people because waiting 20-40 minutes to speak to someone is NOT acceptable! Third, and lastly, make sure that ALL ATT CUSTOMER SERVICE people are TRAINED, so they can answer questions. Being forwarded over 4 times because they didn't know the answer is also NOT acceptable.

4/3/2012 OMG, my frustration level is so high I think I could have a stroke!!! After trying for over 2 hours, I'm still on hold with AT&T trying to get charges taken off of my mother's phone bill - charges she doesn't owe! I've been transferred at least 15 times and still haven't spoken to anyone who can help. My mother is 88 years old and she has tried since November, 2011, but gets nowhere with these people so I thought I'd give it a try. Now they've turned it over to a collection agency - I guess they think they'll get the money one way or another whether you owe it or not. This outfit needs to be reported to the Federal Communications System - I've never seen a company with a big name with such extremely poor customer service - and I mean extremely poor! Still holding and being transferred over and over!! Update, I spoke to a lady named Claudia and she said she would return my mother's bill back to 0 balance due but first I had to be transferred - so I was transferred once again to a number NO LONGER in service!!!!!!!! Thanks for nothing Claudia! This is just too unbelievable!!!! I hate AT&T. Sandy

4/1/2012 14 days 7 techs, no internet and I just received my 1st bill for $238 and its suppose to be only $30. And customer service is closed the weekends (WTF) and the stupid automated system keeps hanging up.
