Three days to get customer service to be told that BBT charges 3 percent fee plus five dollars on international ATM fees the day I return I will cancel my account with these sstuff bags

BB&T is the worst. Close your account and find a more reputable banking institution. To put in a more plain perspective, THEY SUCK!

I have not been able to dial in on the 800 number for 2 days. what is going on?

All my bills have been in pending status and made me late on two and they were entered a week before due date!!!

I have a 6-figure account balance and want to close the account and be mailed a check.

Cannot figure out how to do that.


This bank is unable to help activate a new ATM card and get a pin number of any kind. This includes our local bank that says they are unqualified to do any work concerning ATM cards. I think they are lazy and should be fired. They are very rude and should be ashamed to be a member of our fine community!!! Go BB&T!!!!! I have an account with Peoples Bank and they are great to work with. I would close this account with BB&T but I have a lot of business going on and it is not good timing for me to walk away today. I will close my accounts as soon as I can do so!!!! I would like to tell upper management but I can not get to them….Mik

I am a senior citizen with limited use of the computer. I set up on line banking long ago but have not used it in quite a while Needless to say. i forgot my password. I have tried several times to get to the screen that would help me. Nowhere did i see one to reset password. . When i called the 800 number, i was not able to speak to anyone, just pressing numbers from one dept to the other. Not pleased with customer service.

I made a purchase on Wednesday using my debit card, no problem. When I tried to make a purchase yesterday my account was on hold. After waiting forever to speak to someone I was told my account was on hold because when they looked at my daughters drivers license (we opened the account together 7 years ago) they saw she is 6 years old (she will soon be 40) and a minor cannot be on a checking account. My question to them was how does a 6 year old have a drivers license? I was shuffled from person to person and would be given some abstract answer as to what happened. They finally unblocked my account. I called BB&T today to ask them to please give me an answer that makes sense. Guess what? The same runaround. Will definitely change banks.
