  1. Made a pmt via “bank on line” on Oct 11 for $300 and they still haven’t found it. My bank has sent them everything they need and they still are asking for a copy of the check. They don’t know what “EFT’ is and no way can you just call them back….the worst service I’ve ever seen. They sure want there money on time…..

  2. Please hire staff that speak proper English. Language that is understandable when a question is asked. In the community it is so important to hire the right staff. Clear speaking English makes a difference. Or are they hired to confuse the providers and not pay for claims being submitted?

  3. I have been in this damn “tree” 45 minutes NO EXAGERATION!!! and passed around till I am ready to scream!

I am trying to return a phone call with the extension and number given and cannot get through. The person Eileen wanting to talk to me says I have tried to reach you it is important that you get back to me. I started this phone call at 10:30, 3 people have come on line and NO ONE HAS HELPED ME> I am now back in the Que that says we will be right with you!!! This is CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is now 11:25 a.m.

It is now 1 hour 11:30 and I am still on hold~

  4. I just called to see if my father will have coverage in MO as he will be moving there soon, well they would not tell me so I asked if a person could get coverage in MO. again no answer. All I can say is STUPID People. My God just a simple question.

  5. Don’t come around with the ghetto excuse, when you live in a country that provides free education up to grade 12. Thats more than enough time to get your grammar straight. It seems most people today act ghetto and stupid by choice. The insurance is fine, don’t go around blaming them for your ineptiutude.

  6. MikeMorganBNet, i cannot believe you seriously just said that! you think people need to spend alitte more tme in the “hood” so that people like AALIYAH can be understtod more clearly?! that crap she is saying is not ENGLISH! so no, JAMEs does not have a communcation problem! apparently you and AALIYAH have that problem! this a website for BCBS of CA information not a, lets see who can talk like a ghetto crack head!…. just saying!

  7. I’m moving out of the country for 1 year and I needed a vacation override to take as much prescription as they’d allow me to ahead of time. I was told I could do a vacation override for 3 months but I’d have to pay out-of-pocket for the generic brand I needed. Totally fine with that. Just needed the permission to give to my pharmacy so they’d refill for that amount.

Then after back and forth calling, I was then told I need to pay my premium of $215 for those 3 months up front and they wouldn’t cover the prescription either. Was NEVER told I needed to do that. What’s the point of an OVERRIDE then?? I was told this because they saw I was going out of the country and might be canceling my plan.

I’m a customer RIGHT NOW. Why should it matter if you think I’m going to cancel my plan with you in the future? I deserve to get what I pay for RIGHT NOW! You do understand that I’m eventually coming back to the US, right? That I could pick back up with my plan, right? That I’m now NOT wanting to be covered by your company because of this, right?

You can take my money easily and on time, but when your customer needs something it’s “you’re on your own!”??.

  8. I hardly know where to begin. joined plan 03/2015 myself and my spouse for about $750.00 a month each. We missed a payment. We paid the balance and I was reinstated but not my husband…he was terminated and never re-instated however they continued to deduct over $5000.every month, $750.00 each. have been working on this since the begining of the year, Blue Shield sent me IRS form 1095-B that proofs my point but still no help. We discovered this when our Dr.s said inactive at all Dr.s refused ins for not being eligible. I can’t possibly explain the process and still no results. I cancelled in Jan 2016…THEY ARE STILL CHARGING ME $1500.00 a MONTH

  9. THESE PEOPLE ARE OFFSHORE. THEY ARE NOT IN THE UNITED STATES. THAT IS WHY THEY DO NOT KNOW ENGLISH OR KNOW HOW TO HELP YOU. I ASKED THEM MANY TIMES TO TRANFER ME TO SOMEONE IN THE UNITED STATES AND THEY SAID “SORRY,BUT WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE OUR LOCATION BUT I WILL TRANSFER YOU” AND THEN THEY TRANSFER ME TO ANOTHER FOREIGNER!!! AND ITS NOT JUST BLUE SHIELD, ITS HUMANA AND MANY OTHER INSURANCE COMPANIES.

  10. This is the worst insurance company. I have been waiting for over nine months for two claims to be processed. The customer service on the phone is non existent, I have been on hold for more than an hour only to get disconnected or have someone who cannot answer my questions. I have a premium plan that costs me $3,600 a month and I cannot get reimbursed for money I already paid out of pocket to the tune of over $3,000. I need this money as my insurance bill has reduced me to having to have the fear of not making my mortgage payment. I am reporting Blue Shield to the insurance commission and seeking a lawyers advise as to what my rights are as this company has caused me undo stress to the point of high anxiety and illness.
