  3. I have had charter full service for phone, internet service & tv for 2 years in a package deal and had no problems

    and no complants. since march 1st I have lost about 4 or 5 channels and when I talked to a service rep,there

    telling me that if I want these channels back I will have to pay more money on my bill, I like charter, I think that

    having this done to me is not the way to treat a loyal customer that I have been for so many years and I hope

    somehow we we can get this problem solved.i want to continue to be a loyal customer with no complants because

  4. I hate to call anyone a liar, but Charters ad that says bad weather does no affect their signal is totally false. Every storm that comes through takes out the TV and most times the internet. Been without TV 2 days this time and all we get when we call is “we’re working on it”. If they lived up to what they said when we signed up there would be no need to be “working on it” after every storm. We will be getting rid of Charter. Probably weeks before our service is restored. And you can believe “I am working on it.”

I had diect tv and a charter salesman came to my door and convinced me to transfer to charter I only had tv with direct but had tv speakers and Bose sound system hooked up worked fine until the charter installer came out and disconnected direct and hooked up charter line also added phone internet to make the bundle when serviceman left speakers did not work .on tv or sound system. His boss stopped by later and agreed something the technician did messed up my sound we got the bose system working but no tv sound that was the 11th of this month {sept}he he was supposed to return on {sept} 20th to pick up tv he hasn’t called or came to do anything I am ready to have them pick up their equipment and do without very dissatisfied Dennis

  6. I HAVE HAD YOUR SERVICE FOR A LONG TIME AND IN THE PAST 4 OR 5 YEARS YOU HAVE TAKEN

    A NOSE DIVE IN YOUR SERVICE AND QUALITY OF PRODUCT. SURE YOU HAVE EXPANDED THE NUMBER OF CHANNELS BUT AT THE SAME TIME YOU (SAY OFFER) PUT ON CHANNELS I DON’T WANT OR WON’T WATCH. THEN MOVE CHANNELS I DO LIKE TO ANOTHER PRICE RATE I CANNOT AFFORD. AND NO LONGER OFFER A BASIC PLAN AT ALL. OF THE 200 CHANNELS I AM OFFERED, HALF ARE DUPLICATED AND ALOT ARE FORIEGN LANGUAGE. SO THAT LEAVES ME WITH THE SAME 12 THAT I WILL WATCH. THE PRICE (I AM ON A FIXED INCOME) FOR THE INTERNET AND CABLE ARE GOING OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE. I HAVE NOT NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN MY INTERNET SPEED, BECAUSE I DON’T NEED ANYMORE THAN I HAD 4 YEARS AGO. AS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHEN I GET THE COMPUTER ANSWERING VOICE AND WANT AN AGENT, IT TAKES THREE CYCLES OF HER BEFORE ANY HUMAN COMES ON. THIS MAKES ME BECOME SHORT WITH THE AGENT WHEN YOU WANT FEEDBACK ON THEM. YOU NEED TO GET FEEDBACK ON THE COMPANY NOT SO MUCH ON THE AGENT. THEY ARE DOING A FINE JOB WITH WHAT THEY HAVE TO WORK WITH.

  7. Needed help today regarding the returning of equipment and got someone who I spent over 15 mins with trying to figure out how to spell my name for a promotion with Wal-Mart. After that much time and my name still wasn’t right, I asked to be transferred to the local office in which I was told that I would need to call back. In calling back I was sent to another promotional offer. By this time I dialed the call center number and was then informed that you can not contact the local offices. I’m seriously looking into Direct TV or anything else that is out there that might have better customer service.

  8. Alamosa Colorado, service is extremely lacking, no service, no channels, no internet, perhaps I need another provider. 150.00 per month for nothing. Your ineptness is going to be your downfall. Got better service from the antenna, looking elsewhere

  9. I want to cancel the Charter service to our condo in the Braxton in Ashland City, TN. My husband died a few weeks ago and I am planning to put the unit on sale.

  10. Have had charter for years and service keeps getting worse. Internet often times out using the Charter speed test app and often is less than 1mpbs which makes it for all intents useless. Understand that you do not always get the advertised speed but what they are providing is just plain false advertising. Not my equipment because on a good day and time the speed is good with no complaints. Believe they have sold more capacity than they can provide.

  11. We have spent countless hours trying to get functioning TV and phone service through Charter. Five on site techies plus at least 3 phone techies before we had functioning service. Each tried to repair what the previous person did. Each contradicted the former techie. Today our call to debate the “merits” of our bill involved an agent in Mexico who put us on hold for approximately 40 min. We then learned that Charter tacked on a fee for the last techie we had dealt with and that, to summarize his conclusion, it had been our fault it wasn’t functioning. And that was the visit that finally supplied service. Now in trying to sign into our account via computer, I am asked to supply some number that is on the device they hooked up. Problem is that all of this took place at a different location and we are not now there. One would think one of the talented techies could have given us a heads up that we’d need that crucial number – no one even mentioned that a number existed .This could all be avoided if we were able to put our account on “vacation” and simply start up again the next year. We didn’t do that since the “vacation” fees are higher than canceling our account for a few months and re-upping. Am I happy? NOOOO!!!!! How do you stay in business? After all of this Charter should pay US for enduring their ineptness.

    The one thing Charter did right was to INSTANTLY dispatch our bill on Day One whereas the service was not functional until TEN DAYS later. At least I think it is functioning though I have my doubts.

  13. Have been a Charter customer for years. Service is DECLINING, rapidly.

    Any other business performed like they do. They’d be out of business, in a few weeks.

    But, thanks to their monopoly, they don’t care.

    BTW, I just love, trying to communicate, with some idiot robot. Who cannot understand, what I say, over the phone.

    If there was a “Minus” Star rating, I’d give it.

    At 64 years old. I had better TV service, through the antenna. When I was younger.

    And the customer service? WTF? Where is it?

  14. The one star is for the actual people I talked to. They would have gotten much higher ones, but I deducted for the horrible recording service. When my main tv service went out, I called and got a recording that said, there was a problem in my area and they would call me when it was fixed. I did not think this was the problem, as I have service in three rooms and only one was out. I called back and got the recording that said I had already called and they would call me when it was fixed.I finally convinced the recording to give me a live person, They checked and discovered the outage was one channel that had.an audio problem that had nothing to do with me.They set up a repair call, when he came my receiver was not working and he replaced it. 12 hours later and a lot of frustration I am back in business. The people I actually talked to were very helpful and courteous. It is a shame that they have to deal with people after they are frustrated. By the way, The computer never called me that the outage was fixed.

  15. No tv service. No sound or picture on any of my tv sets. MY phone apps are not working either, I live in Redding California and I have been out of service for about three hours. What is the problem? I have phone and The internet.

  17. Had a young man named Jason come to our house(in Walla Walla, about 10:15AM) and he ended up replacing the cable box. He was very polite, knowledgable and explained everything he was doing. This young man can work on our system anytime, he is truly an excellent customer service person. Cable TV, …….kudos to this young man.

  18. My tv is supposed to display all incoming phone calls. Instead, it shows up private caller on all the calls I receive. This has started about a month ago. I want to know who is calling or else I will have to switch services. My Caller ID is useless now but yet we still have to pay for it. VERY URGENT!

  19. We ordered the triple select package which bundles tv,internet and phone service. The guy comes out and installs the package yesterday evening (over an hour and half past the appt time). He stayed for almost 2 hours and then left WITHOUT checking to make sure that our cable was working. Guess what? IT ISNT WORKING!!

    So, I called Charter to resolve the issue and I am told that they can’t send anyone out until the next morning! Okay, we’ll here it is the next morning and I received a conformation call for the appt. I entered yes and waited for someone to show up. It’s 10:30 and NO ONE CAME!(the service appt was for 8-10 am).

    I call Charter AGAIN! I’m told there is no one available for a service call in my area until tomorrow!

    Are you kidding me???!!!! I’m livid!!!!!

    Terrible customer service!!!! I’m thinking I may cancel this contract, if you can’t even provide half way decent service to a new customer how are you going to treat me once I’m in a contract with you??!!!

    EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED!!!!!

  20. Like all Cable company’s nowadays they are full of double talk and outright lies.I had a promotional internet

    rate something like 39.99 for a year, at the end, i was told it would go to the full rate when my promo ended.So

    for last year I paid 54.99, then this year with no notice I get a statement for 59.99, an increase of 5.00. So, I called them and asked why the increase with no prior notice and then they outright lied and said that my 54.99 was a promo and it was ending.So anytime they feel like raising the rate they just say what you were paying was a promo rate so they don’t have to say they are raising their rates, all double talk bullcrap as far as I’m concerned.

  21. Starting rates seem be promo. It is a program of hook the customer and then jack the rates.

    Shop competitors if possible and drop charter when they boost the rates.

  22. Charter employee did damage at a customer home. Electrical company called in to repair the wiring and outlet he drilled through. But then could not get charter to pay the bill of less than $80.00 even 7 months later still getting the runaround. If I took 2 months to pay my charter bill, my service would have been turned off. But they won’t pay for my service even 7 months later. Can’t even get an address with corporate to send in the bill to them. Nothing but runaround both local and corporate. Sad way to run a business.

  23. Why is it that the signal is CONSTANTLY digitalizing on the major networks? I watched “The X-files” and the last ten minutes you couldn’t see or hear a thing. I have reported this numerous times and Charter won’t fix it. If I am going to get digitalizing I might as well get satellite (and it’s cheaper). You people can’t fix your problems and you don’t care.
