  2. this company is terrible, has no clue how to keep up with customers. charged me 3 times in the past 20 days even after cancelling twice would not recommend to anyone.Get any other studying help site because this is by far the worst.

  3. Customer service was lovely and responsive. This is not the first time I have had problems!

    Pop up did not come up so I am getting book late! Charged wrong account and did not give me an option to alter! Previous coupon disappeared from my email, so I could not use it!

    Had to find number from a third party online!

    If another error occurs-no MORE CHEGG.

    PS A national company should have more hours of human being contact/customer service; additionally I do not Tweet, nor should I be mandated to do so for customer service.

    This is like telling the Professor the dog ate my homework…

  4. You have made two unauthorized charges for $14.95 on January 16th of this year 2014 and another one today January 26th also for $14.95. There is no way to communicate with you to challenge this charges. I looked online any website that I could possibly get in touch with you. Even the phone number you have listed it’s a scam. Because there is no way to challenge this charge and there is no way to find out how you got hold of my card I am reporting you to the proper authorities. FBI or anywhere I can get help

  5. I have been unable to return the text books that I rented due to closing my email account that was used when books were ordered. I have tried on numerous occasions to email and have not received and answer back. I have called several times and always get a recording. My account has been charged again even after a representative said no other charges would be made to my acct and that someone would call me. PLEASE either call or email me. I can not afford to keep paying. tempted to contact my financial institution. Mathers Your immediate attention and response will be greatly appreciated!

  7. I’m surprise with all the negative feed back. I have always obtain great service. The only thing I have is that a few times received books that were used by smokers

  8. My books were returned in the UPS box on 12/30/13, and i noticed my visa has been charged a late fee for each book on the 30th.

    The 2 orders for these books that we rented and returned are HXEMGH8D and GV1AWA8D. We also rented 2 ebooks, do we have to do anything for them? Please return them so we don’t get charged. We have 4 kids and 2 on their way in a couple of years to college and have rented/bought many books through you company many of time,please consider refunding the “late charges”. Please contact me by email or cell phone. I will be follow this email up with a phone call Thursday.

  9. I ordered my textbooks without knowing this company came to this site and read all these reviews which scared me. My shipping dates were as expected roughly a week, but to my surprise my books came in two or three days! So I just wanted to give a good review seems that most only are bad. The amount for the rentals was cheaper then my own university book store and I was happy with books themselves. And the customer service is great! Thanks Chegg team !! 🙂

  10. I did find the website abe books and they are 1/10 the price for used purchases. I did present this to Chegg but they wouldn’t negotiate.

  11. I’m sorry everyone on this post experienced some infractions with Chegg. I have had nothing but great exchange while dealing with them. The only thing I had that was closed to being a hiccup was. I returned some books, the very same week I received them and should have gotten a refund. However, I didn’t check my account form almost two months. When I did the money was not there. I was informed the money was sent to the credit card I used to purchase the book. Well, when I checked my account… It was not there. To show proof, I had to present to them a snap shot of my bank statement that reflected the day they suggest it was refunded to my account. I relunctently agreed. Upon doing so, I was then refunded by check in the mail and not to my card and I had to wait 7-10 to receive it. I was a little teed off because, first of all I waited two months, and had I not checked my account and called them on it… I would’ve probably still be waiting. In the end, I was happy! I continue to buy book from them and had been, for the most part.. pleased.

  12. Chegg is a rip off!!!!! It says 7day free trial and when you cancel the free trial it charges your credit card the yearly $75.00 to your credit card then when you call the customer service they said it will take 5-7 days to refund your credit card. This is a scam and needs to be taken care of.
