  1. I am a professional bookseller who has attempted to place orders on Chegg multiple times. At least 75% of the time, Chegg cancels the order because their online inventory is completely inaccurate. Do not waste your time with this seller.

  2. I will say this right now, because I am “HIGHLY” Pissed off! I tried out the Chegg’s Homework Help for the 7 day free trial. There are 2 option you can choose when you sign up for the free 7 days.. The first option is a fee of $14.95 per month if you choose to go past the 7 day trial period, or a $74.95 fee for a year if you choose to go past the 7 day free trial period. So I accepted the $14.95 a month fee, and used the Homework help 1 time, Got the results back and got a D on my homework grade! I could not believe that crap! I could have done better without their so called help! But that is nothing compared to what happened next. I closed the trial period after 5 days had expired. I logged out, and then logged back in to make sure They had removed me from this garbage! And it appeared that they did. This was a week ago. To my shock when I went into my online banking account, there was $74.95 subtracted from my checking account! Oh my GOD I am still furious. These idiots are closed now, but here is my word, when they open up in the morning I am going to be burning some ears! I never even signed up for the $74.95 yearly fee! And I closed the account 2 days Before the 7 day trial period was up! But believe me when I say this, I will get my money back, along with any other fees that might be affiliated with whatever it takes to obtain my money. And if they put me through a whole bunch of crap, I will destroy any reputation that Chegg has left. I would encourage anyone and everyone to stay away from these people. They are nothing but a problem.

  3. HORRIBLE!!! I’ve been waiting over a month for my refund check! They change the time frame I should receive it every time I call it went from 5-7 business days to 15 business days! Funny how I returned 4 books all at once and got the refund in my serve account withing 4 days but the most expensive book I haven’t seen anything! Requested a manager to call and still nothing! I’ll be taking this to the BBB! I now send my books to http://www.eaglesaver.com they offer more anyway!

  5. My free trial was supposed to be over TOMORROW and they charged me TODAY! For a service that first of all, i DONT NEED! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.!!!

  6. Have yet to have any problems with these guys besides the fact that I found a razor blade in my math text book and have cut my finger, fabulous. Plus, I paid full price to purchase and I’ve been informed I am only renting them? Bullsh*t.

  7. I find it disturbing that these people are having problems with this book company.

    I have been renting, buying books since 2009 and I have only experience one issue and that was recent. (I order a book it did not arrive, but Chegg, re-order the book and gave me a $20.00 credit for my inconvenience. Now, I really enjoyed receiving the credit. However, it took sometime before they got the first book off my account, My account kept reflecting that I had the book. (However, just today, I was finally able to get rid of that problem.

    They have never charge or debit anything to or from my account without my consent.

    P.S.

    My advice, when ever you order anything online with any company, it is best to change your credit or debit card every six months or sooner. To prevent any fraudulent activity.

  8. You are a very unethical company. I also have charges, and don’t know who the hell you are! I WILL be going to the BBB with this situation, along with a copy of these comments and ratings. You don’t get away with stuff like that.

  9. If you need customer service call 888-816-0576. They have answer the phone every time I have called. So if you got the wrong book or need another one just call them they will send the right one and send a pick up slip for ups to send the other back. As of not getting the book in two to three days that is due to our government. We have a lot of post offices shut down so our mail go to never land before it comes to us. That our mail service.

  10. CHEGG IS THE WORST WEBSITE EVER. I HATE THEM. THEY TAKE 10 YEARS TO SHIP YOUR BOOKS AND THIS HAS CAUSE ME TO FAIL MY EXAMS. I HATE CHEGG. IM NEVER GONNA BUY BOOKS FROM CHEGG AGAIN.

  11. I would never again use chegg. When i first used them (years ago) they were great. Dont know what happened with their systems but they are TERRIBLE. I got charged for a book I never received (mind you I changed my address before submitting my order) they sent the book to my old address. I was almost at my midterms and still did not receive the book. I managed to “get by” in my classes with the powerpoints, but I was doing my self a injustice so in turn I had to drop the class.

    I then got charged a late fee of $10. I sent my request to get that refunded via their website (still nothing)

    About two weeks later I recieved a charged of 103.98 (AGAIN FOR A BOOK I NEVER RECEIVED). I have to wait on a check to be issued. Their customer service is great (but it seems like they are use to calls like this which is bad) they def need to fix this.

I will not be renting or buying from chegg again, unless desperate!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they take your credit card # and do as they wish with it….misc. charges all the time…I can not delete my info from their site and wait time to talk to anybody gives your temper time to boil – they say wait time is 15 or 20 minutes it’s always double that plus you end up hanging up because no one answers anyway!!!!!!!

  14. i ordered my sociology book and it was supposed to come tuesday and its now thursday, i would like to make sure it did not get lost in the mail. please help and answer me as soon as possible, i also am waiting on a refund that has not been refunded back to me yet and it’s been about 4 or 5 days since they said they would issue it back to my card. thanks for your help!

  15. I bought a book for class. I was sent a used copy of the boy with pages torn out and written on. The book is in bad condition. I would like a new book sent to me and then I would like to send the old one back. This book needs to be in good condition because it has work book pages that I need to turn in to my instructor.
