  1. I bought a citizen eco drive watch and have taken it back for repair to no avail. The stem keeps coming out and watch stops running, I then reset and push stem back and then runs again until next time, which is a few times a week.

  2. I, too, would recommend against buying a Citizen watch. I was given an Eco Drive watch, after helping a friend get his running again. This one is in the original box, and has never been worn. I sent it to the company only to have them respond that it was older than the 5 year warranty. They want $150 to fix it! I told them no thanks. My advice: buy Fossil watches, their warranties are good for 10 years and the fees to repair them are SO MUCH LESS. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER Citizen AGAIN!!!

  3. how much does a cpacitotor cost for an eco- Citizen watch? A repairman here in MD wants $50 for it and takes 2 weeks to order. There is no warranty or guarantee after the battery is replaced. I thought an eco watch never needs a battery or capacitator.

  4. Had my citizens eco drive about 2 years, both stopped running and the stem comes out. They wanted $125 to fix it. Forget it, bought a much cheaper watch instead!Seems they are not as good as they are cracked up to be! Won’t get one again!

  6. citizen eco-drive watch chronotgaph is a scam. My husbands watch stopped running and they want over £160 to repair the watch!! What happened to the 5 year guarantee?

  7. I bought a citizens eco- drive watch, because it’s the watch that never needs a battery and keeps running. After a few years, it quit running. The repair man told me the watch needed a solar Storage cell. he said that was what the citizen company called the part that was required to make the watch work again. I told the repair man but that sounded like a battery to me. He responded that I was correct. Now I was left being mighty upset that my watch actually needed a battery when citizens advertised that the watch never needs a battery, so I didn’t wear the watch for years. I finally took the watch back in to have it repaired the other day and the repair man told me you needed a capacitor. I asked him if that was what the citizens company was now calling a battery. He laughed and said yes. So I had to pay him $70 for a solar storage cell, capacitor, battery. Am I the only person who is upset about this?

  8. I just purchased Skyhawk A-T JY0010-50E within a couple weeks. when I asked some store to remove some links of the watch band, the tiny sleeves for pins were lost. It is not a good secure design. When I called 800-321-1023 ext. 4234, They wanted to charge plus for the tiny sleeve. This is typical?

  9. Bought a Citizen Eco Drive EW9330-53A. Had it all of about 2 weeks. The band did not have a safety and the watch fell off. I know it was closed because I did hear a click. Its funny how that watch is no longer available by Citizen.

I guess they knew they goofed or something, and decided not to continue selling them.

Who ever found my watch, be careful you don’t lose it also.

  10. same here again, they charged my credit card for replacing my watch band then emailed back that the band was on back order. Customer service said they would call to see if they could repair sooner than one month. No one ever called back or emailed me. Very Unprofessional Service. They have no clue what Service means.

Hate doing business with Citizen Watches in Torrance, CA.

  11. 5/14/2011

Hurley Roberts Service Company, one of your authorized service centers, has had my watch for over a month. No clue when it will be repaired and returned. Terrible customer service

I have the same experience, except they keep my watch for 2.5 month. And I am very upset

I sent a check in January as they asked to begin the repaire and did not get any responce. Vlad

  12. I sent my Skyhawk A-T to Hurley Roberts Service Company for repair because the date would not sync. They couldn’t fix it and sent it to the Citizen Customer Service in Torrance, CA. Overall it was a horrible service experience and took over two months to receive back. Additionally it was returned with a scratched back case which neither company would replace. I got the run around from both Hurley Roberts and Citizen. I ended up paying over $40 in shipping for a warranty item. Never send your Citizen watch to Hurley Roberts for service; send it directly to Citizen in Torrance, CA.

  13. I just bought a eco-drive men’s watch. The warranty by Gaby inc. in Magog Qc mention model BJ6230-58E. On your web site with 136 different watches for men, I cannot find it. Why? Is the model inscribe on the back of the watch? It is to small for me to view it?

    Thank you

  14. I bought a citizen titanium Eco drive watch in 2003 and the band keeps falling apart. I sent it in numerous times and its still falling off. It rakes 2 months to get it bck everytime its sent off. It’s 2014 now and I’m still trying to get it fixed right. I spent over $1200. On a $500 watch. The first time I sent it off to get fixed they swapped my new titanium band out with a new stainless steel band and thought I wouldn’t notice. After realizing my watch was a lot lighter than before I took it bck to a store and compared it to a newer one and found out wht they tried to do to me. After complaining they gave a new one. However the band on this new one is still falling apart. Citizen costumer service sucks. Now my whole watch is falling apart inside and out from all the times it’s been fixed. I never got a chance to experience wht a new citizen watch felt like cause mines spent the first two years in costumer service just for the band problems. Its never been fixed correctly from day one till now. After all theses issues you’d think they’d resolve this issue correctly but they said my warranty is up so I have to keep paying out of pocket now. Thing about tht is I’m paying over and over for the band to be fixed right. I have 3 bands now each worth $150 each but are useless cause the titanium pins keep braking. So according to citizen I have to keep buying new bands each time cause they won’t fix certain pins. Coincidently it’s the pins tht keep falling out of my watch. If I didn’t have so much money invested I’d throw it bck at the retailer for free. Ill never buy another citizen watch especially since they won’t do business right. The big guy is always trying to take advantage if the smaller guy I get tht. But golly how much money do they really need before they start treating customers fairly. The govt needs to get involved in issues like these cause this is highway robbery if I’ve ever seen it. But if I did something like tht is be locked up quicker than u think. Citizen watch company, sucks. Anyone tht says otherwise must not own one.

  15. I have 4 Citizen watches and they all have been great. Best watches I own and that includes my Omega, ESQ’s, Sturhling, Guess Collection, Tommy Bahama’s, etc….
