  1. I have received 5 letters over the last 2 months all with different prices . This was after I sent in via check

$15.00 which was cashed, for the offer of both Country Living and House Beautiful. Each subsequent letter states that I have not paid the various amounts ” due”. My wife is the customer of record, and today I will contact Customer Service to see if we can’t put all this to bed.

  2. July 28, I received three copies of Country Living. I spoke to a very pleasant person (Hanna) at the service department and she corrected the problem. Which took less then five minutes. Thank you Hanna

  3. I never ordered this magazine and have tried to call several times and wrote to you stating I did not order and I am still receiving bills. Please do not send me anymore past due alert bills. Not only do you mark the envelope PAST DUE but it is embarrassing when I NEVER ORDERED. Stop sending me stuff !!!!

  4. This week there was an auto draft on my bank account for $38.12!!! I have never authorized an auto draft on my bank account. I tried to email them, but apparently I can’t send an email with my current address!!! I can’t find a phone number to call them either. I guess I will send a letter, but I doubt that will help. Their website is no help.

  5. I entered the refrigerator contest for country living and just received a bill for a new subscription. I already have a subscription to this magazine. I did not order this new subscription. Please list your telephone number so that I can cancel this new subscription. This is a complete rip-off. I will notify the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office if this matter is not resolved.

  6. Beginning with the August/September 2015 issue, I have received two copies of Country magazine. I thought the first time was a one time mistake. However, I again received two copies of the October/November issue. There is a slight difference in the two address labels. One spells out my complete address and the other abbreviated one

word in my street name (Towne House Dr NE vs Town Hse DR NE). Also, one of them spells my last name correctly as “Kelley” and the other “Kelly”. If that is not enough information to correct a distribution problem, I can send you a copy of each label.

  7. I ordered Country Living at the advertised price and received the email confirmation. The next day I got an email stating I needed to send an additional 17.52. I will cancel this subscription and please refund the 5.35 I already paid.

    Thank you.

  8. i KEEP GETTING BILLS FROM YOU FOR AN AUTO RENEWAL. i DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS. YOUR MAGAZINE ISN’T VERY GOOD ANYMORE. i WILL NOT PAY FOR THIS. PLEASE STOP SENDING BILLS. THANK YOU DIXIE

  9. Hi Webmaster,

Why are all the comments unfavorable. Why do so many people say that they are on auto renewal when they haven’t ordered auto renewed? I would like to see a copy of my order to auto renew! Thank you!

  10. Please cancel the “Country Living” subscription being sent to me!.

I did not order or okay an auto renew for this, or a “gift” subscription !!

  11. I am a current subscriber and decided to enter your “find the horseshoe” contest. First I had a hard time finding the correct website and THEN, lo and behold, I get a bill via email for a subscription I did not order. What kind of tactics is this????? I sent an email cancelling this subscription which I did not order and because of this I am considering not renewing my present subscription.

  12. I called Country Living today. I got a prompt answer and had to hold less than 5 minutes to talk with someone that could help me. Very nice young lady helped me promptly, After reading some of the previous comments, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I am giving 5 stars because they deserve them.

  13. I entered a chance to win a stay at hgtv FIXER UPPER bed and breakfast and ended up with a new subscription to Country Living and an email that has billed me. My current subscription doesn’t expire until 2018. I went to the CL sight to cancel this new subscription but it’s cancelling my current subscription that has two more years left. So not only am I losing two years of my paid current subscription but getting billed for a new one I don’t want. I always enjoyed the magazine but not happy that I can’t even find a phone number to speak to a live person to solve the problem. I found this sight and see I’m not the only one with this problem. This is not a good way to do business.

  14. I will also report Country Living magazine to Attorney Generals office of complaints.. This is a fraudulent way of gaining another years subscription without my request to do so. What makes it stressful is that there is no phone number anywhere to cancel subscription. I thought this magazine was better then this customer service. I will no longer buy or subscribe to this magazine and would encourage no one else to either.

  15. I am writing on behalf of my elderly mother who was SCAMMED into believing she would be given a couple of FREE magazines while making a charge in her local department store. My sweet, trusting 85-year-old mother (who is quite sharp and intelligent) is very capable of making smart choices and decisions, but the tactic that they use is VERY misleading and unethical! Your magazine has always had a wonderful reputation…I subscribed to it for many, many years. You should not have to stoop to scamming our elderly citizens to sell your magazine!!! She has been hounded by collectors for a charge which she did not authorize, and which has accrued a huge amount of overdue charges!!! SHAME ON YOU!!! After reading the comments above, this seems to be a pattern with your company, and I am very disappointed as I always loved your publication. I hope that you will reconsider the way you do business in the future. Thank you for your time and interest.

  17. I RECEIVED A STATEMENT APPEARING TO BE FROM CREDIT/COLLECTIONS FOR OVER DUE PAYMENT. THIS IS A SCARE TACTIC TO GET YOU TO RENEW YOUR SUBSCRIPTIN. I ALSO GOT THE SAME THING FROM ‘GOOD HOUSEKEEPING’. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TOLD THEM THAT I WANTED ONE YEAR AND I PAID FOR ONE YEAR. SHE WAS VERY POLITE AND SAID SHE WOULD REMOVE ME FROM THE MAILING LIST.

  18. I have not received my mag either and I got a gift for my daughter who just bought her first house.I sent the check 2 months ago so whats up CL? I have not been as happy with the mag since its been its larger size either.

  19. I received confirmation that I ordered a subscription to Country Living through a contest website. I have pointed out that CL is not suited to my needs at this time, and to please cancel my supposed subscription. Thank you.

  20. Hi I received two of the same month and I didn’t order a magazine but my mother bought me a subscription under Amy tanner. I did a contest but it said no purchase necessary and got automatic enroll to order a magazine. So I would like to cancelled the one under amandalyn Bc it have not been paid. Why would I pay for one if I’m already receiving a copy?

  21. I love Country Living and have subscribed for years. But I went to their website to enter a sweepstakes for a Bicycle, and by doing that, it created another subscription for me! I immediately got an email telling me I would be getting a bill for $15 for 11 issues. So I FINALLY found a phone number, went through the many, many questions and got a human to speak to. He could not find the new subscription yet, so he said he would put in the system to cancel it when it does show up. I am doubtful, but I got his name and extension. I asked if he would note what a tacky method this is to gets subscriptions. Very slimy.

  22. AFTER 15 YEARS OF BEING A HUGE FAN OF COUNTRY LIVING I DECIDED THE MAGAZINE WAS NOT FOR ME ANY LONGER. I WAS SURPRISED AND ANNOYED TO RECEIVE TWO LETTERS FROM THE SO-CALLED CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS DEPARTMENT BASICALLY THREATING ME FOR NOT RENEWING!!! WOW! SHAME ON YOU COUNTRY LIVING!!! THAT’S BAD PR!!! I WOULDN’T RENEW WITH YOU IN THE FUTURE EVEN IF THE MAGAZINE TOOK A TURN FOR THE BETTER! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE NEW EDITOR AND YOUR COMPANY’S BULLYING APPROACH!!!!
