  1. My husband and I are both Civil Service and he is also retired. In August 2012, his retirement account banking information was changed to another bank that we have NO knowledge of. This happened while we were on vacation as well. Not only have they direct deposited all of his back pay to this myterious account, they have also given them 2 retirement checks…..we still don’t have answers! They are soooo not worried, because it is not their money. We are jumping through hoops and filing police reports, and still waiting for something. Today, he was told, well if we can’t recover it, you will have to go to court and try to get it back….WHAT! If you’ve called this other bank like my husband has and are told, NO you have never had an account with us, nor do we have your social on file, I now think YOUR’RE responsible. How about you give us our money and you fight for the stolen deposit!!!!

  2. I would like to know if I entered the correct info on changing my direct deposit to my new number. I recently lost my checkbook and had to close the account. I need to change the Bank account numberbut remained to the same bank. What is the number so I can effect the change.

  4. I personally think these contact numbers suck ! there is no possible way to reach a living breathing human being without first pressing 1000 different numbers and still never reaching any1 where you can get a real answer

  5. I’m retired. I have to increase an allotment payment (life insurance). I have changed my e-mail address and can’t get into my account without using my old address. I would like to change my account and password in order to access the account.

  6. I have a direct deposit for my DFAS but my check book has recently been stolen and as result I opened a new account . Does anyone have a phone number to these people to change my old account to my new account ? Wayne

  7. I spent the ast hour trying to get an acceptable login id and password. The instructions were to enter my ssn, I did and was told I could not use my ssn. in the end, i was forced to accept that they would send me a password in 10 days. I was trying to get a copy of my 1099R, i had called a few weeks ago and they promised to send it to me. So far nothing, it holding me up from doing my taxes. I need some help. This is like the proverbale Chinese fire drill. I just called and was told the number was not in service.

I have always had problems using mypay and now I am having problems contacting dfas…it is messing up my financial stability, which by the way needs no help with, and it is hurting the possability of being able to take care of my family by not giving me access to my money. I do not know what to do anymore let alone who to contact but if anyone out there can help me please contact me by e-mail at @gmail.com with the details. thank you.

  9. I have had issues with dfas for two years and still unresolved. I have scheduled an appointment with my senator to hopefully redress my issues and dfas lack of response. I have done everything I’ve been told to do but dfas has ignored all requests. They have no contact numbers for any senior staff, no complaint system, no oversight. I have not been able to use the system for two years no matter what I do.

    They continue to use the wrong email and postal address and have allowed my personal information to go to anyone but me. The system and the people running it need to be replaced. Good luck to any of you who have problems.

  10. I have been out of work on Workers Compensation 10/2012 and need a new login ID and password. What number do I call a replacement? I also have a new email address since I have been out of work.

    1. I will tell you that i have been holding for days yes days it does not matter what you are calling for you gst transferred and then wait another 30 min to hear I’m sorry due to the high call volume we cannot take your call right now. That is after being transferred 3x because there is no tier 2 number for retirees which is option 7 there is no option 7. Tier 2 redundant banking for tier 1 down time 22 hrs a year and it is redundant that DFAS has this problem over and over and over and over see my point. Customer service has gotten so much worse over the years! My pay us 14 yrs late a direct oder from washington DC no more than 90 days means no more than 90 days!!

  11. I have a question regarding insurance coverage. The state of Alabama has required me to obtain the cost of a single individuals’ health insurance coverage.

    Can you provide the total cost of coverage along with a breakout of what the employee and employer’ share would be for one person’s coverage. I live in Alabama.

    Or if you are unable could you please provide the contact point for my Human Resource Department.

    I work for the Department of Defense as a DCAA auditor out of the Pascagoula, MS office.

    Please respond as soon as possible since the state of Alabama has stated they will cancel my insurance coverage if they do not receive the requested information.

  12. 1 star is TOO many. The endless loop or chronic disconnects is INSANE. And, telling me to use Facebook when I do not have a Facebook account is NARROW MINDED. Get with it and really offer a service. After 17 years in the Air Forces and another 19 years of federal service, DFAS now takes the prize as offering the absolutely WORST service!!! I tired the phone only after trying their on-line help request and being directed to a mailing address.

  13. All claims about how useless the automated menu is – are quite true. Not only calling the customer service line is a waste of time, as it keeps directing you to several menus, but once you get through and talk to a real person (may have to set aside a whole day for this) they will simply repeat a script and no answer any questions. Please work on your customer service, it is way far from simply acceptable.

  14. I HAVE SPENT HOURS TRYING TO CALL DFAS, I DON’T THINK THEY WANT TO TALK TO ANY ONE OF US. I KNOW I HAVE PRESSED 1000 BUTTONS AND DID’NT GET ANY WHERE, WHAT IS GOING ON?I BELIEVE IT IS THEIR JOB TO ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS, THEN THEY NEED TO JUST GET WITH IT. GIVE US A NUMBER WHERE WE CAN TALK TO A REAL LIVE PERSON.

  15. I have recently changed financial institutions but my annuity was not deposited. I have tried for hours to talk to someone with no success. Please tell me what to do. I tried to get on mypay but that was impossible.

  16. It’s 2015. I’ve been trying to get copies of my AD LESs from the DFAS since 1989. I have been through every obstacle course and wild goose chase they can dream up specifically designed to keep veterans from their financial paperwork. I lost my GI Bill because of this. Where’s the oversight and who do I have to go through to finally get them?

  17. Spent 2 days trying to speak with a customer service rep regarding an allotment to my insurance company. I give up, it is a circus of menus and you go round and round to no avail
