  1. I am on the phone with Dyson right now. I have has issues over the past several years with the suction. On Saturday, there was absolutely no suction at all. Spoke with customer service and they were of no help. Left a voice mail message for a supervisor and never got a return call. Went out at purchased a Shark!

    As stated Above, I am on the phone with Dyson now. All supervisors are busy with other customers, so the person I am speaking with, has offered me a “gesture of good will”, and is authorizing me a service repair at no charge, since my machine is out of warranty.

    The guys name I am dealing with is, Peter. He is very nice, pleasant and pleasure to deal with. I will now keep my Dyson as an extra vacuum, since I just bought a Shark

  2. I ordered a special promotion upright vac dyson 40. I am so confused which one it still is I go to the store and it looks like a 41. Now within a week in a half all the dysons go on sale for 30% off. I call the company for an adjustment of refund which should of been a little over a $.100.00 they said they would refund my bill . Two days later I was told it was a special promotion and they could not credit me. BUT I could pick out a kit, which I could pick from three kits. We’ll I receive the kit today! Not what I ordered! I was told I could pick one of the three and they sent me what they wanted to send me not what I choose! It was half the price and I have two attachments very close to what they sent me! So dyson you have a nice product but your service is very confused!!! I am now waiting for customer service to call me back because there are seventy some???? Customers ahead of me the day before Christmas!! Why is this customer service please where is it! This setup only aggrevaites there customers!!!! There is also a contact number on there website that is missing a digit to contact them..”……………….

  3. I WON’T COMENT BECAUSE YOU WON’T LIKE WHAT i WOULD SAY.

    THE DC35 IS SUCH A TROUBLESOM VACCUUM I WOULD LIKE TO TOSS IT IN THE GARBAGE EXCEPT THAT I PAID SO DAMN MUCH FOR IT I CAN’T AFFORD TO.

    AT LEAST IF WE COULD GET HELP 24/7 WHEN WE HAVE PROBLEMS WOULD BE NICE

    I AM AT WORK AND NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE NOW. I WILL HAVE TO DO IT THE OLD FASHION WAY WHICH DOESN’T MAKE THE PEOPLE HAPPY THAT I WORK FOR BECAUSE THEY PAY ME BY THE HOUR.

    SOME OF US POOR FOLK HAVE TO WORK ON SUNDAYS TO MAKE A LIVING. CLEANING HAS TO BE DONE WHEN THEY ARE NOT HERE NOT HAVE ME UNDER THEIR DESKS ETC WHILE THEY ARE ON THE PHONE OR JUST WORKING AT THEIR TYPWRITERS.

    WELL I GUESS AS LONG AS YOU GET THE BIG BUCKS FOR TROUBLESOME PRODUCTS THAT COST AN ARM AND A LEG YOU ARE HAPPY HAVING YOUR DAY OFF AND TOUGH BALLS FOR THE REST OF US.

  4. There is no customer service!! YOu dial a number that never gets picked up by a rep. They say to leave a phone number and they will call you back in the order in which you called . I have been waiting days!!!! Called again and get the same recording. What a way to treat customers!!! Awful!!!!!!!

  5. I purchased a DC35 hand held last spring and now it will not re-charge. I don’t know

    whether it is the charger or the battery pack, so I tried to call Dyson support. After calling 3 times and being on hold for an average of 20 minutes each time I have given up.

    The last time I called the music stopped and there was total silence for 10 minutes

    although I was still connected. I hung up and within 5 minutes an automated call came in

    asking about my experience with customer support, only with an opportunity to hit 1 or 2

    on the phone to their questions. I have an expensive vaccuum I cannot use. I have

    experienced bad customer service before but Dyson’s is right up their at the top of the list. Don’t advertise customer service/support if it doesn’t exist.

  6. I’d love to comment on the “customer service” however I am on my third day of trying to get through to a live person, so I guess i have to say they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. I only get recorded messages at the trouble shooting extension, and it say “no one available, try again later”. I have tried every hour or 2 hours for the last 3 days. Evidently, no one is there to even return a call, as I have left my number also. I have had my DC15 for about 4 years, and it even should still be under warranty, but can’t get any service. I am extremely disappointed in the brand now. Up until now, I had been pleased with the purchase. However, suddenly while vacuuming, I seem to have lost suction through the bottom of the vac buy the rollers. I still have great suction through the hose, but the bottom is not sucking, and the rollers are not rolling automatically either. This may be an easy fix, but without being able to speak to someone, I will be forced to take it to a local vacuum shop for repair, on my own dollar. Full 5 year parts and labor warranty… (yeah right!)

  7. I bought a dyson handheld for about $215.00, and after about 4 days of having it, (got it on Monday and its now Thursday) It will not turn on and according to Dyson needs to be fully replaced. I am going to try and get in touch with the reseller I bought it from and return it instead. Be careful with this product, Dyson does a very good job marketing, but a not so good job in actually engineering the products they sell. If anyone from Dyson reads this review, you would also benefit from hiring some more representatives to answer phone calls, as I was on hold for 35+ minutes waiting to speak to someone.

    Spoke with 2 supervisors, neither one was willing to work with (the customer) to get the issue resolved in a reasonable manner. Even the higher up manager seemed to care even less about the customer experience. They (Dyson) quoted me over twice the length of time that I have owned the vacuum just to get the replacement parts sent to me. (7-10 days with expediting not possible). The customer service seems pretty poor when you consider the price of this low quality unit.

  8. I am a Grandmother of seven boys. That means tons of paper towels to keep those dirty hands sanitary. Loving the Dyson Hand Dyers that are used in commercial sites I am wondering when you are going to develop one for home use. I know that we would be buying at least five for our childrens homes and ours. You would be doing the world a hudge justice with all the conservation of paper towels and less germs.

    We are hoping that our comment to be sent to your Research and Developement Department. Your company be saving our enviroment tremendously.

  9. My Dyson DC 14 vacuum’s power cord gets really hot while I’m using it. It always has to some extent but now it is worse. It vacuums great and I couldn’t get along without it but I’m afraid of fire when the cord gets hot! When you pay that much for a machine you expect it to last longer than a few years.

  10. In the past 2 years I have purchased 4 Dyson uprights. 2 for myself (office and home) and two as gifts (mom and close family friend). They are incredible, although pricey machines. When I saw the new DC35 (battery operated handheld) I purchased it. Worked great for 2 months then problems with intermittent cut off and rotary brush not working properly. Called Dyson support (Jay 312-237-3925 and others), followed their instruction to clean and check but problems continued. Now they don’t return phone calls and when I ask to talk to a supervisor I get another answering machine.

    So if you’re the type of person who appreciates fine machinery and is willing to take a chance on not ever needing Dyson Support, This is the place to buy your vacuum. They are great vacuums but the Customer Service is a 2 out of 10.

  11. Ordered a DC35 Hand Held on line and didn’t put in the right security code from my debit card, so the order was rejected. I re ordered the same item moments later and it accepted my order, but I come to find out the next day that Dyson charged my debit card twice !!!

    Had to fax them a copy of my check statement to prove their mistake and now I am being told that it will take 3 to 4 more business days for me to get my credit !

    Amazing on how fast they can process a purchase, but how slow they take to process a credit.

    NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER !!!!!

  12. I own a vacuum sales and repair store and I love reading these comments about dyson. The number one repair complaint is for lack of suction. They are difficult to work on. Hard to get parts for.(except new filters) and poorly constructed. Try to get it serviced where you purchased it.

    Buy a vacuum where they fix them if necessary. And if you buy a new one and pay next to nothing for it, plan on it breaking soon too. You get what you pay for these days. Buy Local!!!!

  13. i got a dyson for Christmas. I am very satisfied with it. I ordered a cleaning kit over the internet on 1-6-12 – Dyson charged my credit card account with it the next day. Their site said would be sent in 6 to 10 days. I first called them on 1-23 and was told they had a lot of orders and mine was on the loading dock, would be sent next day, would e-mail me the tracking #. Needless to say, never got an e-mail or my order, despite several inquiries by e-mail and phone. They have had my money for a month, but i have nothing to show for it. I am past frustrated!!!!

  14. We bought our Dyson because of good reviews. I expect these reviews were written by people who felt horrible after having been bilked out of hundreds of dollars for products with terrible performance. Our DC 14 has spent more time in the shop then it has on our floors. The customer service supervisor Trevor Parks explained to me that if I read the book it tells me not to use the DC 14 on area rugs. (what it actually reads is do not use the brush bar on delicate rugs and carpets) Guess I should have inferred my indoor outdoor rubber backed runner is a delicate carpet. This machine is a piece of garbage and the customer service is even worse. The reps are condescending. I am so sick of hearing “I’m sorry I can’t help you with that.” Drop the I am sorry and tell it like it is. We sold you a piece of junk for $400.00 thanks for your money now don’t bother us anymore. I guess Dyson figures enough people will be onetime customers they don’t need repeat customers. Anybody in the market for a barely used DC14 cheap.

Can some one please ans there phone no one ever ans I need help on my Dyson it won’t vacuum brush will not turn in the wrapper van is fine I need help on this could you please respond my writing me because no one answers their phone you just continually keep telling me you are considerably busy right now and we are currently experiencing high-volume’s however you could call or talk twice a quick team but nobody answered that either I need help D Guillotte

  16. Owning a dyson has been time consuming. Every three weeks or so it goes in for repair. Unreliable- WAY overrated. Customer service does their very best to appease you- at times trying to convince you that the problems that you are experiencing are your fault. Maybe the DC Animal cannot tolerate your dog s hair. OR- maybe you should buy out special attachment to vacuum your dog BEFORE you attempt to vacuum your carpet! Just add vacuuming my dog to my cleaning to-do list are you kidding me? I have a small dog- he is not a WOOLY MAMMOTH ! Wondering why it takes so long to speak to a customer service representative? Perhaps it is because they have simply exhausted all their excuses to defend their inferior, yet very EXPENSIVE Product. The only thing this vacuum will clean out is your wallet. Should be taken off the market.
