  1. I guess all or most of you who are so outraged and are cancelling must be white. I am offended as an African American that you still think that in this day and time that it is still okay for you to be so racist and outward with your comments on the use of that type of language and behavior. Paula has several things that have been said that are not okay with the black community and this is not the first time that this type of thing has come up. I’m not a Paula hater, I used to watch her all the time on Food Network Channel. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s when you continue to allow and participate in that type of behavior and comments about someone being too dark to see against a blackboard that it has crossed the line and cannot be excused anymore. Cancel your subscriptions and continue to live in your small racist worlds and Food Network Channel and Magazine will still survive without your negativity. All types and races make up the world, not just southern white women. I applaud them for doing the right thing for everyone.

  2. You should be ashamed of yourselves for dropping Paula Deen, someone who has not only helped build up your TV viewing audience but also your magazine for something that occurred more than 25 years ago. I cancelled my magazine subscription and will no longer watch the food network channel until you bring Paula back. Your network and publishing company should have been more supportive in defending her character in rushing to judgement.

  3. Ditto on all the other comments. I think the whole Paula Dean situation has been handled VERY poorly…no longer Food network Fan.

  4. I too will not renew. Just like some say no Paula no renew. You folks can’t judge her for what she has said because other have said the same thing and get away with it. She a self made supporter of her family and has done well and would continue to do so if you bring her back. You have just crucified Paula Deen. I have heard some black folks call each other the n word and they will also call a white person a cracker and they get away with it. We are all humans and should act like it.

WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE. You will get quite a few NO RENEW.

  5. I too will NOT renew or send my usual gift subscriptions until you bring back Paula Dean. All of us have at one time or another done things unworthy of our finer selves. It would be interesting to see how many CEO’s would still have their jobs if they had to answer the same questions as she did? I love the magazine but frankly it is not a necessity. At some point people need to stand up and say “STOP” this ridiculous over zealous tearing down a fine human being such as Paula Dean.

  6. I just got off the phone after canceling my subscription and stating that I will not renew until you bring back Paula Deen. I no longer watch either the Food Channel or any other channel associated with your company. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. As it says in the Bible “Let he who has no sin, cast the first stone.” I am sure that each and every person living today has done or said things that they regretted. To castigate someone for comments over 20 years old is ridiculous. I will let you know that I just renewed my subscription to Paula’s Magazine. Bring her back, and I believe that you people owe her an apology as well as an apology to the rest of us for your rash actions.

  7. Can’t believe u cut Paula Dean as quickly as u did. Did u even talk to her? Are u that afraid of losing a dollar? I have only rec’d 2 issues of ur magazine but I want a full refund but can’t find how to get it. Easy to get mag but hard to get rid of. U should be ashamed of what u did to Ms. Dean!!!

  8. Just cancelled my Food Network Magazine Subscription. I have had it since the day they first came out but since they have fired Paula Deen, I will no longer support this magazine nor any of the corporate sponsors of Food Network.

  9. Why would I want to keep taking a magazine that singles out one celebrity chef for a racial slur that happened almost 30 years ago. I know you’re tired of hearing this, get over it. And, “No”, I’m not watching anything on the Food Network again. If your celebrity chefs had any balls, they would collectively tell wussy-boy Bob Tuschman where to go.

Oh, let your celebrity chef’s know, most folks are going to cancel “their” periodicals also. See how they like losing millions from something “you” instigated.

  10. “He who is without fault let him cast the first stone” I cannot believe you let Paula Deen go after so many years. You used her as a scapegoat trying to prove a point! I am not a Paula Deen fan but what Foodnetwork did to her was really messed up!! She admitted she did it, did not lie; she made a huge mistake, did not kill anybody. I have 4 subscriptions with you that I ordered for my friends; I cancelled one of them this morning and the rest will not be renewed! She apologized to everyone now you need to apologize to her. You BIG GUYS at foodnetwork need to take a lie detector test to see what you have said in the past and maybe still now!

  11. i do not want your magazine anymore . i would like a refund , since paula deen is no longer employed by you , i no longer will watch any program of yours or any paper product you have , you are not good people any more , and if the cooks or chefs that wee employed by you i think they should all boycott you and not work for you anymore they can do better on there own anyway

  12. Hey Food Suits….you are the most snotty people on TV…how dare you let Paula go. I’m not subscribing to your mags anymore. You just pissed me off….and too bad, because I liked Guy…]BOYCOTT YOU IDIOTS.

  13. I am cancelling my Food Network Magazine subscription!

The lack of ongoing support for Paula Dean, Food Network is totally ignorant!!

Would ANY of you working at Food Network ever be as honest and Ms. Dean was!!! NOT!!!

I could go on and on, but with all the comments shown supporting Paula Dean, it is what it is!

  14. same problem here…I do not wish to continue my subscriptions but how can i reach you people if you do not have any email add…I am from the philippines and it is so crazy to invest an expensive call on the phone..You made it easy for us to subscribe your products then how on earth so hard for us to cancell it???!!!

  15. Just made a recipe from your magazine, Cheesy Corn Puffs Followed recipe to a T-they turned out just awful, what a waste of butter and eggs. Lovely on the outside, but not cooked inside. Does anyone try these recipes a few times before putting in your magazine. I normally have no trouble following a recipes and this was quite simple to have turned out so badly. Just thinking now about ingredients; creamed corn;flour;butter and eggs;cheese, maybe I should have used more sense to have made them. The sad part of doing recipes from magazines, is you have to remember they are touched up just like a personal photo.

  16. You are blaming her for being a racist and you have looked at her show once? Okay “accomplished” person! You are just as racist and a very sad person. People look at your post and laugh! Get a life!

  17. You REALLY need to read this!!!!!

I want to know how you can keep such a RACIST as Giada on the network!!!! She is SO blantant with her racism, having NEVER had a Black person on her show!! (Even the Pioneer Woman, who lives out in the middle of nowhere, is inclusive for the sake of her diverse audience!!) This is my SECOND time addressing this issue!! Next time, I’m going to the media, who LOVE a good legitimate scandal such as this!! What she does is reprehensible, and your airing of these racist episodes makes you, The Food Network, and Scripps Network Interactive, your parent company, just as culpable. I would suggest you NOT just delete this as a crank message!! It’s entirely legitimate because I am an accomplished African-American woman who ONCE looked at her show before being turned off!! Look to ( but not really) hear from you!!

  19. I have asked to cancel my subscription for Food Network Magazine several times, but I still keep getting the magazine.

My cancellation number is 927 – it was cancelled on 15 FEB 2013.

I have asked my Bank not to pay any subscription to Hearst.

    I DON”T WANT IT ANY MORE……………..THANK YOU.

  20. They sent my one year subscription renewal about 5 months in advance.

I checked this out and there is no reason I should have to pay this until

closer to the renewal date. This is common practice with magazines.

  21. Since I started a subscription a few years ago, I paid for 2 year renewal. So com Dec 2012, Foodnetwork Mag. has been sending me renewal notices.. well, on the label it says APR14…. So, my question is, am Inot good until April 2014??????
